@northwoods1980 I know both of these people. The quiet ones are always the most dangerous.

Some people run 3 days a week, never race, and just enjoy being outside. No watch, no plan, no pressure.
Others run 100 mile weeks, track every split, and build their entire life around shaving 2 minutes off a time that 99% of people will never care about.
Both are getting exactly what they need.
That’s what makes this sport different from everything else.

@benelli14597445 @ReallyThryve @HankFrank It’s not that bad. I used to get up and run a couple of times a week before work - 6am. Twice (shorter runs) on work lunch break. Go long on early Sat AM, Sunday rest day. Peaked at 5d p/w. If you can sort out a routine, it’s not that impactful on family life.
English

@benelli14597445 @ReallyThryve @HankFrank Yep. It is. For me the real question is how disciplined are you to do it? It transcends motivation. If you’re not then fine. But I’d challenge it being impossible. It is very possible.
English

@benelli14597445 @ReallyThryve @HankFrank Used to run h/m in over 2hrs. Trained consistently for 4 years, a marathon every 6mths, peaked at 65mi weeks. Ran 2:59. Helps to understand nutrition, hydration, HR training. This journey is possible for any able bodied person. How long it takes depends on your starting position
English

@ReallyThryve @HankFrank I'm 210 and can go sub 7, so he's good, but the weight ain't really the issue.
English

@limitwip @Chocolatewhip3 @Ulul_Ami Okay, let's double-check the video. The sign reads "CAN YOU FIND THE THE MISTAKE" with a repeated "the"—that's the error. The numbers distract from it. What do you see differently?
English

@KirkCrunch @SageCanaday Ran a sub 3 with a 39:39. 19:19 5k and a 1:24 H/M. Marathon is as much as a mental “keep going” battle as anything else. People will run quicker over the short distances to really guarantee the sub 3, but it’s not necessary if you got grit, IMHO.

Honest thoughts:
-I think it was the worst performance I’ve seen since Forest Green away.
-Amass, Valery and Ingelsson were good. Everyone else was so so bad.
- Pedersen playing hoofball to one tall player??
- Palmer targeted as weak link, every goal from his area

@secondtierpod @robstaton TWO free agents only. Worth editing for accuracy given the financial situation at the club. Unless it’s been omitted for engagement.
English

The EFL have granted Sheffield Wednesday clearance to sign free agents.

BIG news.

@bazpixel @ProfBrianCox Would not be surprised if parts of the site is hooked in to backend systems that have been going since licenses were stored on computers. Expensive to replace and huge data migration problem vs “try after 8am tomorrow” - insignificantly cheap and easy.
English

@ProfBrianCox I find it hilarious some of their website stops working at 7pm.
The rest of the internet works 24/7

@SteveH1878 @KatharineMerry Liverpool have been dreadful all season. Massively scraped wins with last min goals. Felt unsustainable and when it finally broke, it really broke
English

@KatharineMerry So how come it didn't affect them for the first 5 games then?? Looking for excuses for them being shite is just fucking embarrassing! The same Jota that fans on Twitter were slagging off for being shite and saying he shouldn't be anywhere near the team!! 🙄
English

@KarlThyer It’s not worth posting stuff like this, cos you just get a load of knobheads who can’t read and question/criticise you and then you get frustrated.
English

@Reverend_Makers Dad was 40 a day on Rothmans, heavy smoker. One session of hypnotherapy and he quit. Tried a cig afterwards and basically “couldn’t”. Cost a few hundred but got that back after a few weeks of quitting. Worth a try.
