@BobaCyclist I bought free range XL eggs at Whole Foods today for the reg. price of $4.99. You should stock up if you see them at a reasonable price. Georgia, the largest producer of eggs and poultry in the country just halted all production cause of bird flu. It’s gonna be really bad

@David_J_Bier I remember trying to explain this to a classmate in a graduate policy class in 2022. Imagine taking the full brunt of the pandemic with no unemployment insurance, no stimulus policy, nothing. Who wouldn't think of migrating when there are U.S. jobs & demand for your labor?

If we look at the monthly job openings versus monthly arrests, we can trace the start and end of the border crisis. Job availability fueled the increase. When jobs became more difficult to get, fewer immigrants came. Supply + demand is more powerful than paper policy.
