Today, we commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the founding of The National League for Democracy (NLD) of Myanmar. This political party was established by the people and for the people of Myanmar, under the visionary leadership of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who serves as the Chair of NLD and Myanmar's State Counsellor. However, it is with heavy hearts that we mark this occasion, as our beloved leader has been unjustly detained by the genocidal military junta since February 1, 2021. It is essential to note that she has spent half of the past 35 years either in house arrest or imprisoned by generals who fear her courage and her relentless struggle for freedom and federal democracy. Even as the same generals callously deny her the necessary medical treatment, they cannot extinguish her hope for a free, federal democratic, peaceful, and prosperous Myanmar. They may deny her medical treatments, but they will never extinguish her spirit or the aspirations of the Myanmar people. In the face of adversity and darkness, the spirit of the NLD remains unbroken. As long as there are people in Myanmar, there will be the NLD. In fact, the founding members of the NLD were ordinary Myanmar citizens, whose worries and concerns have only intensified with each passing day as their leader languishes without proper medical care in the military junta's prison cells. Once more, we implore the International Community to utilize every means at their disposal to ensure that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi receives the urgent medical treatment she so desperately needs and secure her unconditional release from the clutches of brutal military confinement. We salute the indomitable spirit of the people of Myanmar in their unwavering struggle for freedom from the grip of the genocidal military dictatorship. Their courage is an inspiration to us all as they march toward the goal of creating a New Myanmar, one that embodies the ideals of an inclusive federal democracy for all of Myanmar's citizens. The 35 years of relentless struggle, sacrifices, and selfless efforts will never be in vain. They will inevitably bring an end to this dark reign of terror orchestrated by genocidal military generals, ushering in an era of freedom, peace, and prosperity. This light will not only illuminate Myanmar but also radiate throughout the region, making our world a better place for all. #NLD35YearsStrong #DawAungSanSuuKyi #MyanmarHope #FreedomAndJustice #EndMilitaryDictatorship #MyanmarFederalDemocracy #InclusiveFederalDemocracy

Another heinous crime against humanity has been committed by the genocidal military junta in Myanmar. On September 23, 2023, near Sutao village, Mimu of Sagaing, Myanmar, 25 people, including local defenders of freedom and civilians, were brutally massacred by the genocidal military junta's forces. The Chief of the Human Rights Council of the UN has repeatedly stated that strong evidence has been found implicating the genocidal military junta in Myanmar for committing crimes against humanity against the people of Myanmar. The gravity of these crimes cannot be understated. If no action is taken against the perpetrators of these heinous crimes, it is tantamount to granting the genocidal military generals the opportunity to repeat their genocidal attacks against the people of Myanmar. Therefore, it is imperative that the international community's leadership takes immediate action. We call upon them to refer these brutal genocidal military junta members to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and cut off all international financing and weapons supplies to them. The world must stand together to prevent further atrocities and bring those responsible to justice. #MyanmarAtrocities #StopGenocide #JusticeForMyanmar #EndMilitaryBrutality #CrimesAgainstHumanity #InternationalAccountability #ICCforMyanmar #HumanRightsViolations #UNHRC #GlobalAction

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Yin Mar Pi Massacred: The world must unite against the horrors in Sagaing, Myanmar. Today, in the early hours of July 21st, 2023, around 2 am, evil forces, acting under the orders of the genocidal military junta's generals, committed a heinous and tragic massacre in the village of Sokyaung, Yin Mar Pi township. Under the cover of darkness, these evil forces infiltrated the village, wielding heavy battlefield weapons, and unleashed terror upon innocent villagers. Three were arrested and beheaded, and the horror continued as more villagers fell victim to their brutality. As of now, 14 lives have been confirmed lost due to this despicable act carried out by the genocidal military junta forces. This atrocity is one of nearly 7 dozen similar massacres committed by the murderous junta in the last 27 months. The genocidal military junta hides behind secrecy, evading international scrutiny. But we cannot remain silent observers; we must take decisive action now! Reports from the UN reveal that the genocidal junta in Myanmar has traded weapons worth a staggering 1 billion US dollars with five countries in the past 27 months alone. These weapons fuel their reign of terror and enable them to commit unspeakable crimes against humanity. The international community must act! We call for concrete measures to cut off the flow of money, weapons, and legitimacy to the genocidal military junta in Myanmar. Let us stand in solidarity with the loved ones, families, and villagers of Yin Mar Pi during this heart-wrenching time, deliberately created by the genocidal junta and supported by their partners in crimes. Accountability is paramount! We are resolute in holding all perpetrators accountable for their crimes against humanity and heinous human rights violations. We will pursue justice through international and national mechanisms, such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), International Court of Justice (ICJ), and universal jurisdiction laws. Domestically, we will seek justice by all means. Despite the heinous crimes committed by the genocidal military junta in Myanmar, the brave people of Myanmar remain committed to fighting for freedom and federal democracy. Their unwavering determination will lead to victory! Justice, Freedom and Federalism Democracy will prevail! Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We pledge to tirelessly work until justice is served and peace and democracy are restored in Myanmar. #StopGenocide #JusticeForMyanmar #EndGenocidalMilitaryJunta #Accountability #InternationalAction #NoMoreSilence #StandWithMyanmar #YinMarPiMassacre

🔺 Today, as ASEAN leaders continue their gathering, our hearts ache for the people of Myanmar who persistently endure the ruthless military junta's oppression. The immense pain, suffering, and loss they face cannot be ignored. Today, in Thon Sint Kan Village, Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, a 60-year-old civilian was burned to death, and over 100 homes have been reduced to ashes by the hands of the brutal military junta. 🔥 These atrocities serve as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for ASEAN and the international community to take a firm stand against the brutal military junta, demanding the denial of three critical resources: money, weapons, and legitimacy. We call for accountability for their crimes and the restoration of democracy, peace, and justice in Myanmar. 💔 The devastation and loss inflicted upon innocent lives only strengthen our determination to fight for freedom, human rights, and federal democracy as the sole path to peace, prosperity, and stability in Myanmar and the entire region. We must amplify the voices of the people, condemn these brutal acts, and tirelessly work towards ending the reign of terror imposed by the military junta. ✊ Let us stand in unwavering solidarity with the people of Myanmar as they courageously pursue justice. Together, we can make a significant difference and put an end to the violence and suffering. 🔗 Join our movement for freedom and federal democracy, not just for Myanmar, but for the entire region and the world. #JusticeForMyanmar #EndMilitaryViolence #StandWithMyanmar Photos: PGSC (Wetlet)

Another airstrike by the Burmese military in Sagaing, with reports that dozens of people have been killed. President Biden, Rishi Sunak and the EU have still not imposed a ban on American, British and EU companies being involved in the supply of aviation fuel to Burma.
