All round Brisbane Lions update: I’ve had a few questions across a few things so I decided to do all in one 🤝 Injury news: (I did today) - Jarrod Berry should return this week - Dayne Zorko 2 weeks away - Noah Answerth should return this week - Ryan Lester 3-4 weeks away - Eric Hipwood 2-3 weeks away - Linc McCarthy 2 weeks away Oscar Allen has made progress and is about 7 weeks away. Great news Jack Payne has started running again and will return the back half of the year. VFL: It’s quite rough in the VFL when the AFL side have so many injuries as it takes the best players out for their side. They currently sit last on the ladder. Tom Doedee is still battling away, although not setting the world on fire. The VFL will regain at least 2 AFL players this week due to the lions getting some players returning. Contract news: Not much to say, The lions and Zac Bailey and his management will sit down at the bye in a few weeks and that will determine both parties are happy with how it sits right now Logan Morris’s manager last week said he has no intention on going to Tasmania at the end of next year and wants to stay in Brisbane Jordan Ridley wants to play in Queensland in 2027. The Lions have been keen on him and it’s been back and forth over the last couple of years. This week: Playing the best team at the moment at home after two big losses…this is what Brisbane love. Jarrod Berry and Noah Answerth are great ins. Will McLachlan and Jimmy Tunstill seem to be in danger of missing out and sent back to the VFL. With Berry Returning, it would see Zac Bailey more forward time and Berry straight to the wing. Sam Marshall worked hard on the weekend, deserves another shot. I’ve had a lot of questions asked on Jaspa Fletcher, if Dayne Zorko returned this week a ‘managed’ week wouldn’t surprise me but Chris Fagan and the coaches rate him so highly.
