There’s something I’ve noticed that honestly needs to be said… and I’ll say it with small laughter so it won’t pain too much 😂 Some people will plan a full blown dinner. Not small dinner o… DJ, dance floor, after party, outfit change, MC shouting “make some noiseee!”… everything complete. But suddenly, the name has changed. It’s no longer dinner again. Now it’s “Walima”, “Kamu”, or “Reception” like they’re doing rebranding for a startup. My brother, my sister… who are we trying to convince? Since when did Walima turn to concert? Since when did Kamu come with couple first dance like it’s a movie premiere? Since when did Reception need after party part 2, part 3, and sunrise edition? You’ll see uncle that just prayed Asr sitting calmly while DJ is playing loud music behind him. Aunties vibing, cousins on the dance floor, but everybody will still be saying “Alhamdulillah, it’s just a simple Walima.” Simple where?? Even wedding in Hollywood will greet this one. Let’s be honest with ourselves for one minute. Changing the name doesn’t change the content. If you pour Pepsi inside a water bottle, it’s still Pepsi. You can call it “Zamzam Limited Edition”, your body still knows what you drank. This thing is not even about judging anybody, it’s just about being real. If you know what you’re doing, own it with your chest. Don’t try to package it like you’re doing something else just to feel better. Because deep down, everybody knows the difference between tradition, celebration, and… “let’s just do what we like and rename it later” 😅

What makes this even more fascinating is why it’s like that. A humpback calf is born into one of the coldest, harshest environments on Earth, the open ocean. There’s no shelter, no slow upbringing. Growth isn’t gradual, it’s urgent. That thick, fat-loaded milk isn’t just food, it’s survival fuel. It builds insulation, strength, and size at an incredible speed so the calf can keep up with long migrations almost immediately. So while to humans it sounds excessive or even uncomfortable, to a whale it’s perfectly engineered nutrition. It also puts into perspective how specialized nature really is, what’s life-sustaining for one species can be overwhelming for another. Not everything “edible” is meant for us, and this is a perfect example of biology being tailored with precision. In short: it won’t poison you… but your body will definitely question your decisions.

What would happen if a human drinks this milk? Read till the end First, the whale in the video is a humpback whale, not a blue whale. Also, the video is just an AI representation, not a real one. A humpback whale's milk will not flow like this at all. It will come out like you're pressing toothpaste from its tube. That's because the milk is so thick that it contains 10-15 times the fat content you'll find in a human/cow's milk. The mother produces 42 to 57 litres of this milk per day and she loses about 97kg body weight as a result. The baby whale (calf) gains about 35kg per day. Now, it is practically impossible for a human to get a humpback whale's milk to drink due to the massive ethical, legal, and practical barriers to obtaining it. Let's now assume that a human gets and drinks it, theoretically. Since it's a mammal's milk, it is not toxic. It would likely taste fishy and oily. Small sips might be tolerable but very rich. Larger amounts would likely cause nausea, stomach cramps, or diarrhea because human digestion isn't adapted to such a high fat load. If taken regularly, it would deliver high amount of calories that would lead to rapid weight gain and cause other digestive or metabolic issues over time.

Looks like a joke but many things that have become normal in Islam today started like this… It’s just a celebration. It’s not that deep. Na this small thing you dey condemn? When we condemn these activities strongly, people call us alaseju but what you don’t understand is that we are only trying to prevent what that “small insignificant” act will become in the future. I wouldn’t be surprised this might become a thing in the next few years

@IdrisAOni1 @yojora Equating Asalatu and halqah to something is bad equation. Which Asalatu did you attend that all what was done from start to finish is learning, no song, no Qur'an sharing, and no dancing. Then point one halqah that you attended not that you heard o and extremism was taught.

Majority of these so-called Halqahs are dens of indoctrination and extremism. The vast majority of them are not teaching Islam, they are leading people towards hatred and misunderstanding. This is the truth, and it will hurt them but it is what it is. The Asalatu might have problems that need to be remedied but they've contributed immensely to Islam and Muslim lives in the Southwest and beyond. What needs to be done is reformation for better output. These new proponents of Halqahs know so little, yet can be so arrogant and unyeilding. Their style of arguing without knowledge is further proof that they have been indoctrinated.

Since the inception of Asalatu, what tangible benefits have Muslims in the South-West gained? Since the emergence of Halqoh in the South-West, what measurable successes can be pointed to? The answers will reveal the reality.

🚨 Roy Keane on Mo Salah leaving Liverpool : “A good dancer knows when to leave the stage, same thing happened to Cristiano. After everything he’s done for the club they benched him, called him the problem, now it’s salah and Liverpool. You can’t bench such player and ask him to fight for his position after all he’s done for the club.”
