This is the gripe I have with the discussion that poor people shouldn’t have kids because instead of speaking about how the govt has systemically failed mothers by making transport that doesn’t accommodate them, we’ve chosen to dehumanise a woman who has every right to have kids

Since we are talking cleanliness...I think Coca Cola, Pepsi, Riham, Sumz need to be on the forefront of providing garbage disposal beans around Kampala because when you walk around and see dirt in city suburbs it's mostly their products.

Ugandans want someone to plan specific means of how to interest them in cleaning their country ( something they have been shouting about here), they need to be massaged, played for some music, given a soda! The country is dirty , you should actually force govt to force you!

1. Banned single use plastic ( after Uganda) and never reversed the ban
2. Invested in public dustbins
3. Rolled out and implemented penalties for littering
4. Held public education programs
5. Maintains clean cities

Funny how some sceptics rushed to rubbish this initiative. Well, here in Rwanda 🇷🇼, we do 'Umuganda' once every month (and businesses, including banks, close for the better part of the morning), and we all go out to clean. That (among others) is the reason we are exceptionally clean!

#Uganda doesn't have just an execution problem. We also have huge ideation/conceptualization problems
The approach govt is taking with national cleaning days is exact robotic way we approach all public policies. Little scenario planning, rarely thinking thru proceses to the end
