Blackpill: Bloodborne hasn’t been touched again because it’s Miyazaki’s favorite thing he has worked on by far and he won’t let anyone touch it, but he’s the head of Fromsoft and will never have time to work on it again

@Valkyrie_Fleur It's also pretty cliche at this point. Comes across as lazy rather than avant-garde.

@anglofuturist I think they *would* hesitate to sanction, but otherwise I agree.

For what it's worth, I don't think they'll block Twitter. Putting aside the fact that our entire political class is addicted to this app, I don't think the government would risk the pushback from Trump. Elon's back in favour, and they won't hesitate to sanction.

After nearly two years of waiting for @IloveRockchip to fix their FFmpeg copyright violation, one of the FFmpeg developers acted. Thousands of lines of code were copied from FFmpeg.

Hey @IloveRockchip, blatantly copy and pasting FFmpeg code into your driver and changing the licence in violation of the LGPL is not cool: github.com/rockchip-linux…

This is China not Japan, everyone in the video is speaking chinese. And why can't you even distinguish chinese people and japanese people just from their face? That's #NotVeryWokeOfYou

I don't think I've ever seen people this numerically illiterate in a comments section before. It's like capturing the rarest bottom of the bell curve all at once. I feel lucky.

@jensenjeans I'm not sure about the decline of religion. There's a lot of religions I think are harmful and decline might be good at but in practice less religion tends to mean just nihilism and alcoholics

@charliebilello Software licensing is not subject to supply and demand, so one might argue that it's different this time.

@Heroine__P_ Yeah, people hear about the advantages CRTs and vinyl records had over their digital successors, and struggle not to generalize that to "old tech = better".

@correcthololive @RowanBird779 If it loses to RISC-V, it'll be because businesses don't want to pay for licenses, not because of performance (and certainly not because of compatibility).

@RowanBird779 I think ultimately on desktop they'll lose out to RISC V, because we've gotten like two lines of ARM laptops that aren't lighting the world on fire and maybe NVIDIA tries to bite into the consumer CPU market at some point in the future

@Bloomser1 Also worth mentioning that there are a lot of scenarios in which tough competition can lead to worse outcomes - I'd say the enshittification of video streaming over the past 10 years is an example.

@springbris @BIMBOSATTVA_ Not in the present day for sure, but there was a Binitarian movement as recently as the 19th century.

@BIMBOSATTVA_ I think it’s more not being aware of it as an existing belief anymore, and similarly lots of things make sense religiously but doesn’t mean they are often seen. like idk for example Christian dualism would make sense and be easier to conceptualise but doesn’t exist in modern day

Unitarianism makes sense and is one of the oldest teachings of Christianity, the Trinitarians won out in the end but it's been a debate since the first century, wild to have never heard of it, I guess Christians don't know their own historiography
linda⁷@torturebyrosesz

I'm actually surprised that there is such a thing as christian unitarianism, never once had I heard of that before, seems like a very american phenomenon and like most american phenomenon it's utterly stupid
