rust programmers talk and talk and never ship anything
i bet you couldn't even rewrite the whole opencode frontend in rust using ratatui and make it better and submit a PR for it
@thdxr Love me some BubbleTea but it's got a long way to go to match textual.textualize.io#example" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">textual.textualize.io/widgets/toast/…
Is there a small single-file CSS framework I can embed in an internal app?
Something with typography, forms, and a little layout, that doesn't need theming.
I need a word that means a row of characters in a TUI widget.
"line" is too generic. "row" is used in another context.
Best I can come up with is "sliver". But that doesn't feel too apt.
I'm finding Mastodon a lot easier to understand having I've realized that it's just blogs. Everyone gets a little blog, on their own server or someone else's. Following someone is pretty much subscribing to their feed. You can even roll your own implementation from scratch.
I know this is a little early. We were planning a release for tomorrow. But there was no reason to delay.
I'm super excited to see what people start building with Textual.

Great googly moogly. We've released a new version of Textual! The TUI library for #Python 🎉
This version has all the stuff I've been banging on about for months. CSS, devtools, live editing, data-tables, and more...
Here's the announcement:

@willmcgugan It’s a new-ish feature that some servers are using to turn some channels into support forums. Don’t know if it needs a nitro or whatever though
Seems that we've got people joining the Textual discord for beta testers, who aren't beta testers!
This means that some of you have been breaking the first rule of Textual beta testers discord: "Don't talk about Textual beta testers discord" *
