I need a word that means a row of characters in a TUI widget. "line" is too generic. "row" is used in another context. Best I can come up with is "sliver". But that doesn't feel too apt.

I'm finding Mastodon a lot easier to understand having I've realized that it's just blogs. Everyone gets a little blog, on their own server or someone else's. Following someone is pretty much subscribing to their feed. You can even roll your own implementation from scratch.

This is actually a really nice example. Dead simple, but does the real world task of reading from a network API. Doesn't look to shabby either.
