A friend coached a player for 3 travel seasons.
This season, the family said they couldn’t afford to play. So he waived all fees & helped with hotels.
3 weeks later, the player left for another team.
That’s the kind of thing that makes good people think twice about helping.

This guy is a getting a lot of shit for this take, but he’s largely correct. If you want your kid to go play on his high school baseball team, he has to be a club baseball player or be in the top like 3% of athletes if not. That’s just life in 2026.

Bad news, dude: If your kid doesn’t play travel/AAU they have no chance of playing varsity in high school. Only exceptions would be small, rural schools without many players to choose from. Any decent sized high school, every kid on varsity plays travel.

@zheinold1014 Depends. I couldn’t hit my driver off the tees the had so I switched to my 3w. It said I was hitting 265 consistently which I thought was outrageous. Next round I played I only used 3w off the tee and it was pretty damn accurate which blew my mind

@lmaciolek @T_MeLLoWz15 Bc first off I can’t tell if it’s ever actually a pass, he pulls up for half a second & doesn’t really seem like he tries to pass. Then, the player doesn’t hit the turf until at least beyond the line of scrimmage, & on top of it, it seems like the fumble was beyond too
