@JHudnallPE @kellidsmith @HanoverSchools @vahperd I do something very similar and have for 30+ years. It is competitive in nature but the focus is on sportsmanship. Kids love it and teachers are supportive of the competition aspect while still be able to teach the skill of being a good sport.

@kellidsmith @HanoverSchools @vahperd So we don’t do the house system. For our Bobcat Games I split every class into 4 colors and this year we did 11 stations and out of the 11 six of them were relay races, teachers get scoresheets and circle the winning color for each relay then turn the sheets in to me at the end

Folks…tonight was a top 10 night at the ELC! Such a warm evening, full of health, wellness, & community!! Families created Family Mission Statements, side by side one another, & shared their core values with us! 💕🐳💕

@montgomerymi3 @pohlnerpe You can still play. I have an option for passing against the wall (10X) then move your cone 2 spots. Do a ball handling trick from the list, move your cone 1 spot. Lots of options.

@TESPhysEd I do the same activity but the bridges toss and catch their ball while standing still. Everyone is busy and two tasks are being done at the same time. 👍

#physed Does any Elementary PE teachers use @Seesaw to communicate with families? We used it during Covid but our school has encouraged us to use it again. I have really liked using it so far as a means for sharing pics of student learning in PE!

I understand new standards/benchmarks are coming out & I may have to do this again, but I didn’t think of this until now & want try this system out. We are in the business of continuous change, but I still want to do the current work while it’s here. #196pride #elempe #physed
