@dmac35893561 @ASSCnews I do often wonder where all of these councillors and MSPs stay when they take a holiday? …. Hopefully it’s a Scottish holiday, if so will they still manage to find somewhere going forward?

@ASSCnews Edinburgh council & their influence over planners (whilst STL’s are currently dealt with in this way) have definitely lost the plot… Any excuse to stop STL’s.. STL is a short term home for a business user contractor visiting family or friends in an area or tourists.. ie people!

@markruskell You obviously have no idea that landlords are covered by a registration scheme. I’m guessing you voted for STL legislation without actually reading what it covered….

Bin dates have changed, but the new grey bins have changed @PerthandKinross to monochrome. Baffling message today...

@andywightman Believe me there are many paying dearly due to these inclusion exclusion clauses. It’s where housing dept meets tourism when every possible loophole has to be covered. Let’s hope you are correct about a rewrite as councils are certainly filling their coffers!

@murdo_fraser @scotgov @ShonaRobison And if they are exempt then why are registered businesses included and others exempt just because of a liquor licence! A complete shambles, too busy plugging potential loopholes instead of making workable legislation

At #FMQs today I raised the latest twist in the shambolic handing by ⁦@scotgov⁩ of its short-term let licensing scheme. Despite being the Minister who took the legislation through Parliament, ⁦@ShonaRobison⁩ couldn’t tell me if home swaps are included or not. Hopeless

Neither @scotgov , nor local authorities can step away from the legislation and exempt house swaps and suggesting that they can do otherwise undermines the basic principals that the SG has sought to uphold. Fundamentally contrary to the legislation. thetimes.co.uk/article/home-s…

He @JohnSwinney told me that, had to send him a link to the legis & that was over a year ago. Still don’t really see the diff between a 5+aparthotel and a 5 + chalet or yurt park? Not owned by a multi national hotel group🤔?

Scotland's STL licensing rollout blunders on. A second Judicial Review hearing now scheduled for 8th Nov at the Court of Session. Expect @Edinburgh_CC will lose again.. paving the way for a mass class action claim for loss of income due to the illegal requirement for planning consent. Costs of course to be met by the Edinburgh council tax payer (again). Time for the @scotgov to pause, review and revise the law. @cllrcammyday @Miles4Lothian @djohnsonmsp @MarkGriff1n @PaulMcLennan7 @RichardLochhead @neilcgray @ASSCnews @DickinsEdin @FergusEwingSNP

@ralphaverbuch @PaulMcLennan7 @SueJWebber they keep hiding behind figures for all licence types, room shares etc. Properties that are main primary addresses. Drill down to the details about the contentious fulltime secondary lets in Edi, 98% planning fail, only 8 licenses issued.

The crisis is literally on your doorstep. Scottish people need your help. Your misleading words and rhetoric will cause harm to all of #Scotland and destroy livelihoods. What you are about to destroy is also in your power to save. (16/16)

You personally rejected our calls & our 14 solutions that can fix this mess - solutions you asked for. You can hide behind your words & your intention to engage. We know you are watching the clock tick tock … waiting for us to either comply under duress or go bust. (12/16)

If you wanted to engage, you would have come out today to speak to small business owners and hosts which, also as your constituent, I asked you to do. We were on your doorstep. We came to you. You ignored us. (11/16)
