@jayabacus @ParadisLabs ...why not use both? Seems silly to not incorporate all possible information when making investing decisions Fundamentals tell you about the business Technicals tell you about the stock

@ParadisLabs 100% ! Everyone I know who is rich does fundamental work in equities. Everyone I know who is trying to get rich (and not getting there) is using squiggly lines to pick stocks.

Technical analysis is literally just a load of fairy dust sprinkled on top of delusion: - Technical indicators analyse historic price action. - But stock prices reflect forward information/fundamentals... A simple analogy is that: TA shows you yesterday's weather report. But what anyone should care about is whether it's sunny/raining tomorrow. The market's pricing in expected earnings six months from now, product launches, interest rate cuts etc. It's not reacting to some random squiggly lines you drew on your TradingView chart. Literally the only "technical indicator" I'll look at from time-to-time is trading volume to gauge sentiment.

People should consider the following: 1) Record AI capex investment from hyperscaler profits 2) record M&A from biopharma 3) record increases in defense spending by govt 4) big reshoring initiative 5) govt investing in critical companies So much stimulus backing this run.

@LogicalThesis On 40B annual revenue? Debt doesn't look that bad. Not much cash on hand and operating cash flow looks rough last quarter, but that could be a lot of things. Wondering what the story is.

2026 hasn't been good for me. I feel like I'm simply not in the few things that are performing well this year (energy, AI-related, and metals). So when the market goes up, I don't go up as much. When it goes down, I go down even further. I can't find a way around it because I'm not interested in investing in energy or metals, and most AI-realted are so expensive in my view. I tried diversifying a lot, I tried concentrating my portfolio, I tried doing nothing for a month, I tried being very active, I tried large caps, I tried microcaps... Nothing has worked. I already accepted the fact that I'm going to underperform this year, so I don't care anymore at this point. As long as I don't go broke, I'll be fine.
