Gosh I'm sick of AI tools constantly pushing their services on me. Especially on the services I already use. OK Gmail, I get it, you have AI tools, I don't want them, stop prompting me. Dismiss... Dismiss... DISMISS damn it. Welcome to the hellscape that is trying to force everything to be fake, worse, and cut out humans in the process. I'm looking at you too @CocaCola. A gigantic company that thought it was a good idea to make ads using awful AI footage instead of actually paying people to do a valuable job. 🤮

And the second was a letter just received from @NAB with our full names including middle in the clear - again this makes impersonation easier. I get that you ask for full names incl. middle for the accounts - but you DON'T have to use them in letter envelopes with windows

So two security missteps from @NAB today. After a longish wait on phone to report a potential scam I queried why they only use SMS text messaging for 2nd channel authentication (which is now easily scammed). "Yeah, we don't yet support authentication apps". C'mon NAB. It's 2025
