I think it is fine to call out the teachers for not agreeing with their tact, however @SteveDraz is suggesting they should be punished for speaking freely on their own time and I think that is going too far,

Disagree in politics - fine. Carla didn't deserve this. Would 1st Amm. apply to GOP supporters here? Wrong no matter what party!

Are you suggesting the 1st amendment does not apply to teachers outside the classroom? I imagine every teacher was upset by @CarlaNelsonMN paltry support of education funding.
