Good morning from Bank Junction in the ❤️ of @thecityofldn The Court of Common Council @cityoflondon will debate & vote. lifting restrictions on Black Cabs 14/7/365 to improve the availability of cabs in the Square Mile at 1.00pm today at Guildhall (public meeting) News crews already awaiting the outcome 😉 Users, including the mobility challenged, elderly, women (especially needing to travel at night), business users and businesses say they want this change to improve availability ✔️ ‼️@TheNedLondon representing the views of so many hospitality venues - big & small that are affected by the ban (see photos of extracts of their letter below)‼️ All benefits of the improvements to Bank will remain with the added benefit of being able to get an iconic Black Cab ✔️ As a global business destination, we need to facilitate Black Cabs as part of the whole transport strategy. Where buses go, cabs should go. To support the City’s Vision for Economic Growth, our Destination City and a City where people are safe and feel safe, especially women & our nighttime economy ✔️ Pls share & retweet 🔄🙏🏼

#BlackCabs are #PublicTransport & are essential for providing choice for all who want to travel in the @cityoflondon In May @ShravanJoshi pointed out "it may be a small % [with] those needs, but I think it’s important we don’t say oh it’s alright because the 99% are OK.”

URGENT! Pls share. The last chance to register to vote in the General Election is 11.59pm tomorrow Tue 18 June. Potentially 8m aren't registered at their current address. Here's 4 key facts... 1) You can do it online here registertovote.service.gov.uk/country-of-res… 2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages. 3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing ) 4) You'll need ID when you do vote (not to register) if you don't have it, you can get it free until Wed 26 June gov.uk/apply-for-phot…

This week, Thurs 20 June, the @cityoflondon common council will be deciding whether to allow #BlackCabs access to #BankJunction. This is a huge question of #accessibility for #disabled people. I have written to all members urging them to vote to allow taxis & ensure #AccessForAll
NFBUK@NFBUK

@newdawn75 explains why black cabs are important in London ‘It’s because they are accessible, drivers help you, they are easy to get in & out, there is lots of space for 🦮Nellie. Sarah is disgusted black cabs do not have access to all areas. This need to change. #CabsAcrossBank
