Thanks so much to you John and colleagues for a brilliant tour of the Royal Docks Corridor. This scheme is vital for not just people in @NewhamLondon but also has big lessons on how to tame main roads and make them much safer, greener and more pleasant places.

Why isn’t this bit of Camden passage pedestrianised? This is the gateway that draws people down from Angel. Also home to two very popular cafes who I’m sure would love to expand their outdoor seating.

Language matters. The word 'accident' suggests something unintentional, and beyond control. Use of the term ‘accident’ is inappropriate until all the facts of the case are known. Crashes are commonly referred to as accidents. Changing language is vital to change attitudes.

@LouHaigh If only road crashes were dealt with in the same way as train crashes. Imagine if someone was killed or seriously injured every 17 minutes on a train. It wouldn’t be allowed to continue. But perfectly acceptable on our roads.
