I didn't see the need to When it first rolled out, I was suspicious that it was a trap to trick illegals out I stopped worrying about that after a while Now based on other stories of gringos being illegal in Mexico, it doesn't seem like a big deal Most that I read about get taken to an office, told to buy a plane ticket out of country and the INM doesn't even escort you to the airport They just let you go and hope you do And of course you can always get a refund for the ticket after And of course I read about who did leave, they were able to come right back in immediately for another 6 months Mexico doesn't seem to treat it seriously Of course, how INM treats third world illegals is different but that's another story But also I don't see a future for myself when it comes Mexico I've been here almost a decade yeah but as I'm in my early 30s, I honestly wouldn't have kids here Mexico is cool for a lot of things but not for raising kids imo And even if I wanted to have a family in Mexico, having kids/wife would solve my legal question anyway I'd get residency if I had kids here sooo...
