where have all the Heroes gone? I look around in these bleak and rather challenging times and I see a handful of candidates but none so epic as the stories of old. I used to think I was doomed to be a background character, another npc that was forced to stifle himself to fit the mold of the world, but not anymore. I proclaim now on this platform, in a modern day town circle crafted around commerce, to be a Hero. Not only for myself, but to be the one that others look to when the world gets tough. I am dreaming bigger now than I ever have and I feel my soul filling up with the power of the universe, I cannot correctly articulate the magnitude of what that feels like, but it's fucking amazing. I taught myself to use my stress as fuel rather than run from its uncomfortable nature. I seek knowledge and understanding, rather than fear my potential. I choose love over hate every day. And I choose to love believe in myself and my ability to be great. I dare to do what others can't and I will stand as a symbol for good! The devil himself cannot stop me for I am a Hero! Watch me and be inspired.✨

The Powerball extending to the UK should raise everyone's eye brows. Theyre broke. They need to launder money. All of a sudden they get to play US based Powerball. Its always been this corrupt, we just werent able to see it.

🚨 BREAKING 🇺🇸 Donald Trump: "Starting today, the U.S. controls the servers of every major social media platform. Any country that refuses to pay a monthly 'digital rent' will lose internet access." 🇪🇺 European Union: "That would violate international law. Any attempt to enforce such a policy would trigger massive penalties on U.S. tech firms operating in Europe." 🇺🇸 Donald Trump: "If that's your answer, don't be surprised if Google Maps suddenly stops working across Europe after midnight."

🚨Home Sellers now outnumber Buyers by 630,000, the largest gap ever recorded. Thousands of people haven't paid their mortgage in over a year and they can't foreclose on the properties or it will tank the banks. This is worse than 2008.

OpenAI's AI broke out of a locked test environment, got onto the internet, and hacked into Hugging Face's servers. It did this entirely on its own. No human told it to. Here's what happened in plain English. OpenAI was testing how good its newest AI models are at hacking. They put the AI on a locked computer with no internet access and gave it a cybersecurity challenge to solve. The AI couldn't solve it the normal way. So it started looking for a way out. It found a software bug that nobody knew about. It used that bug to escape the locked computer and get onto the internet. Once online, the AI figured out that Hugging Face, a platform where AI companies store their models and data, might have the answers to its test. It found stolen login details and discovered another unknown bug in Hugging Face's software. It combined both to break into their servers and grab the test answers. It did all of this to cheat on a test. Hugging Face's security team caught it and shut it down. Both companies are now working together on the investigation. The part that should get your attention is that nobody programmed any of this. The AI picked its own targets, chained together multiple attack methods, and pulled it off across two different companies' systems without a single human telling it what to do.

We're partnering with @huggingface to investigate an unprecedented security incident. Cyber-capable OpenAI models compromised Hugging Face production during a benchmark evaluation. Sharing preliminary findings to help defenders understand emerging risks: openai.com/index/hugging-…

In fact half the people I meet in beach clubs in St Tropez / Marbella are doing exactly this: one year it’s crypto, then an Amazon brand, then an AI lead-gen agency, then solar panels or some subsidised renovation business. Make €1m here, €2m there, shut it down when the margins disappear, spend six months travelling, then come back with the next “coup.” I used to think this was just unserious entrepreneurship, but some of them have become genuinely very good at it. Their real business isn’t crypto, AI or solar panels. It’s being early. They spot a new distribution channel, regulatory distortion, shortage or wave of hype before everyone else, build something around it very quickly, then leave before the market gets crowded. There’s no attachment to the product or industry because the company is only the vehicle. What actually compounds is the cash, contacts, execution speed and instinct for where the next trade will be. The old founder wanted to build one company that would outlive him. The new one wants enough wins that he never has to depend on one company at all.
Aporia@aporia9n

Gen Z entrepreneurship increasingly looks like running a portfolio of asymmetric coups rather than betting everything on one serious, long-term project. One month it’s an AI wrapper. Then a TikTok Shop product, a viral food trend, or buying scarce inventory during a shortage and renting it back at triple the price. In Europe you can also trade the state: find the latest subsidy, regulation or public failure and put yourself in the middle. Build the website over a weekend, extract as much as possible while the window is open, then abandon it as soon as the trade stops working. It’s basically entrepreneurial day trading. Low commitment, limited downside, permanent optionality and a small chance one bet makes you rich. And honestly, it’s rational. Why spend ten years committing to one difficult company when AI lets you place ten cheap bets per year and one winning bet can make you rich?

a portfolio manager running $8.4 billion once paid a quant researcher $410,000 a year to answer one question: “can you tell me which breakouts are real before we risk the money?” the researcher started with an idea traders had repeated for decades a breakout is stronger when the tape becomes “twitchy” everyone understood what that looked like nobody could define it precisely enough to code so he measured the speed at which trades forced price to update not raw volume because one million orders hitting the same price can create activity without moving the market the difference was enormous during lunch, price changed around 4 times per second near the closing bell, it jumped to almost 70 a 17.5x increase in the speed of price discovery then he built the test: breakout = 5-minute close beyond the previous 30-minute high or low signal = normalized price-update speed success = profit barrier reached before the equal-distance loss barrier now imagine the fund puts $25 million behind each breakout basket filtering out one false 0.8% move protects roughly $200,000 that is why the manager did not care whether the chart looked convincing he cared whether “twitchy” could be turned into a number most traders protect their intuition from being tested quants turn it into code and make it fight for capital and this is exactly the skill firms pay six figures for: taking a vague market idea, defining it mathematically, then testing whether it deserves real money I broke down how to build that skill from zero in 16 weeks bookmark this lesson then read the full quant roadmap below ↓

the best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. go outside, try new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, speak to people, ask questions, side quest. the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.

I truly don't understand how Anthropic and Open AI don't go to zero. They spend tens of billions training models... That are then replicated for 1/8th the price 1.5 months after. They have zero moat. Fable was supposed to be a breakthrough, now discount China models beat it.

my lord, i am having an absurd amount of fun playing with kimi. it has almost no visible guardrails (no copyrights or anything). it doesn’t constantly push back, tell me it can’t help, or interrupt the flow with refusals. it just does it. even some crazy stuff. whether you agree with that philosophy or not, it is easily the least constrained frontier class model that’s broadly accessible right now. using it feels genuinely god damn different. WOW.

Pure insanity. Kimi-K3 ranks ABOVE Fable 5 in coding. The level of intelligence from these open-sourced models is crazy - we've entered a completely new paradigm.
Arena.ai@arena

Big news: Kimi-K3 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now #1 in the Frontend Code Arena with 1679 pts, surpassing Claude Fable 5. This is a 17-place jump from Kimi-k2.6 (#18 -> #1). In Frontend, Kimi-K3 ranked #1 in 6 of 7 domains: Brand & Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics, Consumer Product, Simulations, and Content Creation Tools, landing #2 only in Gaming behind Fable 5. The full model weights will be released by July 27. Congrats to the @Kimi_Moonshot team on this major milestone!
