Defender (Williams Electronics) was designed by Eugene Jarvis and Larry DeMar. In terms of gross revenue, it ranks among the top 10 arcade games that broke the $1 billion mark in the 1980s - sitting comfortably between Pole Position and Galaxian. The sound effects still give me nerd chills. When you walked into a mall arcade, you could hear Defender from a mile away. 80s arcade games were so far ahead of anything else at the time that it’s probably impossible for younger generations - who grew up with powerful gaming PCs and consoles - to fully understand it.

Holy shit. Now everyone will be able to use their @OpenClaws and all the other agentic platforms to build apps on top of X. Here's the secret: build lists. Lists are how you build apps. The pattern: Build a list of your favorite football team. Or whatever you are into. Then ask your AI agents "build an app showing me all the important news about my favorite football team." In minutes you'll have an app. And that's just the beginning. Your agent can build a script about your favorite football team that you can take to places like Google's Notebook LM. Now you have a video, a podcast, a slide deck, a game, a mind map. All about your favorite football team based on real time news. You can do the same with something like @HeyGen, create an avatar of your favorite football player. Now you will have your favorite football player telling you everything that's happening on the football team. And I could go for hours about how many things you can build and not even cover a fraction of them. This is huge. Thank you @elonmusk for making it possible to make millions of agentic apps affordably on top of X. Start building!

@Scobleizer what's UP!! Did you have anything to do with the change to X API cost for get calls?? I got the following email on Thursday... Hello X API developers, We’re excited to announce an update to our X API pricing that makes accessing your own data more affordable than ever. Owned Reads are requests made by your own developer app for your own posts, bookmarks, followers, likes, lists & more. Starting Monday, April 20, 2026, these endpoints will be priced at $0.001 per request (equivalently, 1,000 resources for $1): GET /2/users/{id}/bookmarks GET /2/users/{id}/blocking GET /2/users/{id}/muting GET /2/users/{id}/pinned_lists GET /2/users/{id}/tweets GET /2/users/{id}/mentions GET /2/users/{id}/liked_tweets GET /2/users/{id}/followers GET /2/users/{id}/following GET /2/users/{id}/owned_lists GET /2/users/{id}/followed_lists GET /2/users/{id}/list_memberships This change significantly lowers the cost of common operations such as fetching your own posts, followers, likes, bookmarks, lists, and more. Additional updates effective Monday, April 20, 2026: Writes via X API will increase to $0.015 per post (from $0.01). This applies to the main posting endpoint: POST /2/tweets. Posting a URL via X API will be priced at $0.20 per post, except for summoned replies (which will remain at $0.01). Following, Likes, and Quote-Posts via API Writes will be removed for all self-serve tiers. This affects the following actions:POST /2/users/{id}/following (and DELETE for unfollow) POST /2/users/{id}/likes (and DELETE for unlike) Quote-posting via POST /2/tweets (when using the quote_tweet_id parameter) These adjustments reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting the developer community while ensuring sustainable platform operations and helping you build even better experiences on X. For full pricing details, including the complete rate card and updated documentation, visit the X API Pricing page.

Simple Mining
Simple Mining@simpleminingio·
The IRS is giving you a 100% write-off for buying Bitcoin miners. Under current tax law, Bitcoin mining hardware qualifies for 100% bonus depreciation. That means if you are a business owner or investor, you can write off the entire cost of your miners this year. Keep in mind, it is for the year they are placed in service. So if you are planning to capture a deduction on your April 2027 tax bill, your miners need to be hashing prior to December 31, 2026. If you have capital gains, passive income, or just a big tax bill, this is one of the most sophisticated ways to achieve a write-off and achieve Bitcoin exposure. If you are serious about building wealth and reducing your tax burden, this is the move.

🚀 Introducing the Qwen 3.5 Small Model Series Qwen3.5-0.8B · Qwen3.5-2B · Qwen3.5-4B · Qwen3.5-9B ✨ More intelligence, less compute. These small models are built on the same Qwen3.5 foundation — native multimodal, improved architecture, scaled RL: • 0.8B / 2B → tiny, fast, great for edge device • 4B → a surprisingly strong multimodal base for lightweight agents • 9B → compact, but already closing the gap with much larger models And yes — we’re also releasing the Base models as well. We hope this better supports research, experimentation, and real-world industrial innovation. Hugging Face: huggingface.co/collections/Qw… ModelScope: modelscope.cn/collections/Qw…

I’m writing this through a connection so small it feels like a crack in the window. 99% of the country can’t even get online that’s why you don't see videos or images from inside. In Tehran and Karaj, every time people hear an explosion, they cheer from their windows and rooftops. They chant slogans and celebrate because another terrorist base of the regime has been hit. I’m sure the rest of Iran is exactly the same. To all honorable Iranians abroad: Be our voice louder and more decisive than ever. Take to the streets and flood the internet with one clear demand: Trump DO NOT STOP the attacks. Right now every mosque and religious gathering hall has been turned into military bases for the IRGC and repression forces. At Tehran’s Mosalla, dozens of repression vehicles are parked and being prepared.Prove to @realDonaldTrump @netanyahu @IDF @CENTCOM that these are no longer religious sites they are official regime military bases. Bomb them. The people of Iran do NOT want these places anymore. This has nothing to do with religion they have become fortresses of terror and must be destroyed. Also strike the homes of the reformists they are the main anti-Israel and anti-America operators inside the regime. My connection is too slow to push this properly so please tag everyone you can. We will take to the streets at the right moment. We will win. Long live Iran! Javid shah #IranWar

Modern cardiology wants you to imagine lifelong benefit from lowering LDL without ever talking about lifelong consequences of forcing LDL down. They want you to believe there are no downsides. But when drug companies actually tested the idea of genetically and permanently lowering LDL, people died in the trial. The blowhards like @Drlipid and @PeterAttiaMD never mention this part. Here’s what actually happened. Verve Therapeutics created VERVE-101, an in-vivo gene-editing drug designed to permanently shut off PCSK9 so LDL stays low forever. Not a statin. Not reversible. One-and-done genome editing. In the HEART-1 phase 1 trial, a participant died of cardiac arrest about five weeks after dosing. The trial was paused. Regulators stepped in. The risk became impossible to ignore. This is what happens when medicine worships surrogate markers like LDL drops. And then make fairytale stories about lifelong and cumulative exposure. People die in clinical trials. Press releases celebrate “durable LDL reduction.” Real humans absorb the unknown risks of permanent genetic manipulation. No long-term safety data. No lifetime data. No undo button. We already know from large meta-analyses that pharmacologic LDL lowering translates into days of average lifespan gain. Yet the response is to escalate to permanent genome editing to chase a lab number. Medicine learned antibiotic stewardship for a reason. You do not deploy powerful interventions without clear disease, clear benefit, and clear justification of harm. Lowering a number is not the same as improving health. Permanent gene editing for asymptomatic risk is not prevention. It is experimentation with better branding. Parading this idea of cumulative risk with LDL particles as the basis for treatment is MALPRACTICE You all can go to hell
