@Christophrblx I dropped out of high school (Not for roblox), and I suggest at bare minimum, finish that.
You can always approach a degree in the future if you find something you truly want to pursue, but if dropping out blocks that path in the future you may regret it.
Almost every inch of me is screaming to just drop out of school. I don't even need a degree anymore, Roblox is esentially giving me a path to financial freedom.
Yet somehow a small part of myself is holding me back. I'm so torn gosh
@sleitnick Ran out of room. To add to that, unity has more features, but isn't really a true 2d engine, where I believe Godot treats 2d as 2d, and can be more performant and much smaller file sizes, you do have to do a lot yourself compared to unity though.
@sleitnick Godot is very similar to Roblox compared to other engines out there (that I've used), I believe they've been pushing for console support too. Unity would be good if you already intend to do multi-platform, but if you just want a quick PC game, Godot would be quickest imo.
My wife has requested I make her a farming game, similar to Farmville, but just to her own liking (we haven't found one out there that fits the bill).
What engine should I use? I'm thinking between Godot and Unity right now. It will be 2D.
@ReverseRBLX@NinjoOnline I took a peek at it yesterday, the bar to entry is much higher than Roblox, it’ll have its place, but likely not as a direct competitor.
@NinjoOnline I haven't messed with it. I think it really depends on whether or not they recreate the UGC magic of Roblox.
I'm not even sure how you could do that, so good luck to fortnite.
