This is not accurate or correct. None of these assets were mortgaged as such. Also, the Maldives Sukuk structuring doesn't include all these government buildings. Only DH was used as the underlying asset for Sukuk SPV, as Islamic finance forbids interest payments. By definition, islamic finance doesn't sell assets to secure loan repayments. Sukuk is the most secure instrument and it generally doesn't get default. And it doesn't require mortgages. Underlying assets doesn't mean they are mortgages and ownership will transfer. In islamic finance, these doest work like concentional banking practices where they rush to sell asssets. Just learn a little bit before shit posting. These people posting nonsense can be normal, but people like @dhiyanasaid reposting it without even a second thought or asking Google is next-level sadness.

🚨: @MTCCPlc awarded an MVR 14 MILLION contract for the Male’ Taxi app to the sole proprietorship business of its Assistant General Manager, Mr. Abdulla Farish Hussain without inviting any other developers to bid. This is blatant conflict of interest and corruption. The app could easily be built for around USD 100 in the Maldives, where many talented youths can develop apps independently.

In the event of default, Dharumavantha Hospital, IGMH, Iskandhar & the Finance Building would have gone to bondholders. That was the risk. Today, Raees Dr Muizzu has paid $500M Sukuk and secured these national assets. MDP put them on the line , this government protected them.

THE "MALÉ TAXI LINE" IS A BAD POLICY AND BOUND TO FAIL Deploying 160 cars on already congested roads won't solve the problem of taxi unavailability. It will only make the problem worse. The Real Issue: The original problem isn't that there are too few cars in Malé, but that there are too many people. Increasing the number of cars won't give everyone a taxi on a rainy day. Gridlock by Design: Adding more vehicles to an exhausted road network is like adding salt to the wounds. It won’t make taxis more available; it will just make the traffic slower for everyone. The "Grounded" Future: This policy is really bad. After a year, we will witness the decline, and these cars will be grounded or sold off in auctions. This policy is senseless and this program is bound to fail.

Hi @Dhaurunews @hirigazahir @naaif You stole my image and published it as your own. No credits or reference. You can ask me nicely to license my images and in our case I’d have given it for a one time free use cuz Humay and funavaa getting covered. But doing so like this makes me want to sue your company

🚨This is seriously alarming.🚨 The company (BUCG) building 1,190 housing units in Hulhumale is the same company directly involved in the largest corruption scandal in Malaysian history, valued at over a billion USD. When we look into the Malaysian case there are very similar patterns in the Hmale housing project as well. While a project of this scale needs transparent open international bidding. Instead Muizzu used his power to hand it to a selective contractor. The Malaysian corruption trial involving this company is ongoing as recent as October 2025. The same company is now building homes for Maldivians. Housing is essential. But transparency is essential too. @HKurusee @jubraanshareef

Maldivian students now graduate with an average of 700,000 MVR student loan debt to work jobs that pay 20,000 MVR, while having to pay half / more for rent and bills. All bc our govs rather waste money on political influence rather than investing in better local education

Never forget. @bankofmaldives @RCCmaldives @MoCImv @MoEnvmv are collectively engaged in destroying the last remaining #Funavaa in this area. They chose to turn a blind eye and give a deaf ear to the concerns of people wanting to protect this for everyone’s well being.

I found a guy selling a hydrophonic tower on Facebook for 3900 MVR, and I was inspired to buy it, thinking that 3900 MVR was actually a fair price.
