@BilbaoBlackCats Totally agree - it’s pretty lame to describe a club in a bit of a crisis as a ‘good side’. Who is the audience for this? Is it an attempt to relieve pressure on our players? I would prefer them to be confident and on the front foot - not cautious in this match up AT HOME!

A team 2nd off bottom in the championship at this stage of the season is not "a good side" It's a team that has won 1 game in their last 10 matches. Losing 7 of their last 10 league matches. Absolutely no excuses not to get 3 points against these types of teams. #SAFC

@Philip_RJ89 I agree. Lacking intensity until last 10mins or so (and composure and maturity) but intensity should be a given - we shouldn’t be seeing that late in the game. Basic professional standard to show intensity and work ethic from the off and maintain it.

I’m not convinced that’s a ‘good point’ at all. Yes, salvaging a draw having played so badly is always decent, but we need massive slip ups from the other teams now. So frustrating. Take the lead and sit back…again. #SAFC

@ALS_Fanzine It’s not good enough for professionals to eventually bring intensity - and this is not the first time either.

This intensity has unfortunately been lacking but at least we have brought it, however late!

Relieved to equalise, but this was too much like Plymouth. Teams above us have the edge over us in ruthlessness and composure I think - and that may well be the difference between automatic and playoffs.

Lack of maturity, composure, and mental strength in our side? A weakness of our ‘youth’ over experience strategy? Do we miss some experience to keep us composed? I think you could argue that case quite strongly. Could also argue that as a defensive unit we aren’t strong enough?

Why, with the evidence so overwhelmingly to the contrary, does RLB think that our Sunderland team are capable of defending a single goal lead for the last 10 minutes or so of a game? How many times have we shown we cannot do that this season?

@Philip_RJ89 Perhaps not enough scrutiny of us defensively this year with a focus on strikers often. Mental strength and concentration are a factor too I think. Very disappointed. Good crowd too!

Sorry, but you just can’t gloss over it: that is a massive two points dropped and an opportunity missed. Didn’t think we played anywhere near well enough and some of the defending was absolutely terrible. One point from six against Plymouth this season is crap. #SAFC

@Philip_RJ89 Typical Sunderland today. I accept that blowing Plymouth away was unrealistic - especially when their professional pride was hurt mid-week. Decisions and strategy today questionable? Consistency and concentration still an issue? As is ruthlessness. Play-offs most likely.

No excuses should we fail to win today. These are the kinds of games that teams with automatic promotion aspirations take care of routinely. And if we do get a penalty and Isidor fancies it, he should be given the chance. #SAFC

I've been working on The Last Bell for a long time but, finally, it's done. You can read about it here & pre-order a copy bit.ly/3UOUjYb. Out in March, this is my last boxing book. Thanks @kelley_AK for the majestic painting on the cover and to all at @simonschusterUK

I think that Sunderland’s transfer window was “steady” and “sensible”. Secured some strong players, made money, didn’t pay the prices demanded of agents etc for a striker. That’s good. At the same time, lack of a proven striker may show leadership feel championship is our level?

@DavidHindmarsh7 KLD doesn’t have/want to spend money.?So, to finance anything, he will sell. This “might” fund strikers. Not the actions of a BIG club with serious ambition I think. Accept the lane we are in and move on. What else can we do?
