@Bazkin @bitchuneedsoap Well it involves basic savings concepts and a little bit of discipline, including getting off your ass and getting a job worth more than minimum wage, and not buying stupid shit that you don't need with money you don't have.
You also have to grow up and put down the video games.
English

@luadev_ @bitchuneedsoap That's literally impossible for most workers in 2026 but cool thanks

In 2015, Disney called 250 IT workers into a meeting.
They thought they were getting bonuses.
Disney told them they were being replaced by workers flown in from India on H-1B visas, and if they didn't spend the next 90 days training those replacements, they'd lose their severance.
Leo Perrero testified before Congress about it. Appeared on 60 Minutes.
"Someone was flown in from another country to sit at my same desk and take over what I was doing. It was the most humiliating thing I've ever gone through in my life."
Two workers sued Disney, HCL, and Cognizant for colluding to illegally displace American workers.
Courts dismissed it. Disney Magic.

@akhilstarkvfx @chamakakumudesh You'd be making a huge mistake.
Touch input and keyboard accuracy are dogshit awful right now. Im literally about to buy out of my installment for $730 and lose $200 just to ditch this 16 Pro Max and switch to android.
Its that fucking bad.
Look it up if you don't believe me.
English

@chamakakumudesh Yes , my current phone is my last Android, I will be switching to ios , although I still love Android customisation
English

No thanks. My current phone will be my last android phone.
Enabling developer options to install apps? 24hr waiting windows?
More than half bank apps are not working with developer options.

📢 Important update on sideloading on Android It’s of course here to stay. The team’s been listening carefully to feedback from power users who want a way (apart from ADB) to install apps that don’t go through developer verification. Today, we have more details on the advanced flow that gives you this option. Read the post👇 for more info goo.gle/advance-flow
English

@MishaalRahman @chamakakumudesh I use developer options all the time and do not need to be unnecessarily restricted from doing so.
English

Re: the developer options question:
It's my understanding that you don't have to keep developer options enabled after you enable the advanced flow. Once you make the change on your device, it's enabled.
If you turn off developer options, then to turn off the advanced flow, you would first have to turn developer options back on.

@Techjunkie_Aman @google @Android @AndroidDev This needs to be a program that can be opted out of by experts.
It's fine if you want to protect your vulnerable end users, but I'm a developer and I don't need my hand held or need to be watched over.
Treat us like adults please.

Android is changing sideloading.
Google just introduced a new “advanced install flow” for apps outside the Play Store.
Here’s what it means:
• one-time setup for power users
• you can allow installs long-term (not every time)
• 24-hour cooldown after enabling it
• requires PIN / fingerprint / face unlock
• ADB installs are NOT affected
What’s new:
• better warnings for risky apps
• stricter checks for apps from browsers/messengers
• more control over which apps can install APKs
• designed to stop scam installs and malware
But important:
Google isn’t killing sideloading.
They’re just making it harder for random apps to install things silently.
So normal users stay safe…
and power users still get full control.

@LundukeJournal Thanks, now we can start normalizing this with GDPR and ditch cookie banners on American sites

The United Kingdom has demanded that 4chan pay a £520,000 fine for failure to comply with UK age verification laws.
However, since 4chan is based in the USA, the UK has no jurisdiction to fine Americans in America.
“As has been explained to your agency, ad nauseam, the United Kingdom lost the American Revolutionary War. We are not in the mood to discuss the matter further, and have not been in the mood for 250 years.”
The letter to the UK’s Ofcom ended by suggesting that “maybe, you could just stop sending Americans stupid letters and acknowledge the sovereignty of the United States.”
4chan’s attorney, @prestonjbyrne also included a picture of a giant hamster dressed as Godzilla.

@chimpsoftiktok @wrinklefreelee No, its like saying that the person I know made his money writing code and building a scalable infrastructure, because that’s exactly what he did.
Its not “like Bill Gates” because hes a completely different person with a completely different company.
Stop being fucking dense.
English

@luadev_ @wrinklefreelee That's like saying Bill Gates makes billions from being a software dev. Is he a software dev? Yeah, but he made his money from owning Microsoft.

I watched The Lion King (1994) recently with my kids. I hadn't watched it since I was probably 8. What an epic movie. It's kind of nuts how epic it is actually. And some points in the score punch way above their weight for an animated movie - the cue "Kings of the Past" is a good example.
No big grand takeaway here, was just sort of blown away with fresh eyes by the general epic of this 1990s animated movie.
