@heythisisleon The problem is in wanting passive DAO members (ergo, investors) to be bothered.
The solution to this is to minimize whatever governance there is to the critical issues and then grant decision rights, roles and responsibilities to a team, just like what companies do.
English

@heythisisleon In most companies, shareholders aren't active in governance or daily decisions as well.
People never wanted to be constantly bothered with issues from whatever investment they make; the very point of being an investor is to have financial exposure without having to do any work.

I chatted with a founder last week.
He had sold-out a project and raised $900k from it in 2021.
His biggest regret so far was turning the project into a DAO.
Here's what he told me:
"This was all a great ‘idea’, but in reality, nobody enjoyed the practical uses." he sent me.
"Proposals took too long, not enough people were voting and generally people lost interest." he went on to add.
The project, according to him, ground into a stall.
The money is still there after 2 years...
But nothing has gotten done by the community in the last 8 months.
This conversation made me ask myself; is this situation a reflection of the fate of every DAO?
Are most DAOs doomed to eventually grind into a stall?

Thanks to @viamirror for the feature and to everyone who collected my Mirror article about the inherent tension between popularity and exclusiveness we see in all art forms. :)

@brileigh @pablo_moncada_ Lol maybe if I won the lottery and were to focus exclusively on chess for 3 years all day every day

@dollar_monopoly @finidotworld @_samspike_ I'll bring some next time I come around; they have all sorts of weird candies

@FingerprintsDAO @mitchellfchan @steviepxyz I've played through this and it's actually an impressive work of art. The game is fun too, albeit a bit difficult.
@mitchellfchan's art always makes you think, which, IMO, is one of the main points of art.

In honor of @mitchellfchan and @steviepxyz's upcoming epic croquet match (a challenge match, in fact), let's learn about the background of Mitchell's release "Winslow Homer's Croquet Challenge."
