It was a privilege for the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation to welcome participants of the Getty Conservation Institute's International Course on the Conservation of Modern Heritage (MAC) and share how the GCI's Conservation Management Plan (CMP) continues to guide our stewardship.
Getty Conservation Institute@GCIConservation

Conservation Management Plans (CMPs) are an incredibly valuable tool for heritage sites as they take a holistic view of the management of a site and incorporate values-based conservation approaches into conservation planning and maintenance of sites. During their time in Los Angeles, participants of the International Course on the Conservation of Modern Heritage (MAC) had the unique opportunity to visit a site for which the Conserving Modern Architecture Initiative team developed a CMP: the Eames House and Studio (Case Study House no. 8), designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1949. While on site, participants received an in-depth tour to learn about the development and contents of the CMP, and how it is being implemented throughout the site since its publication in 2018. They also met with Getty staff and consultants who authored and are tasked with implementing the CMP and engaged in a discussion with Eames family members and staff of the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation. @arg_create 🔗 The Eames House Conservation Management Plan is available for free online: bit.ly/3U6nR2J 📸: Photos by Karen Du. © 2025 J. Really enjoyed coming on @tbpn earlier this week. You can now watch my full segment on youtube where I discuss: - How to best understand GPT4.5 - What I Expect from GPT5 - The future of scaling laws - Stanford CS and Startup Culture And more! (link below)
TBPN@tbpn

We asked @jackgwhitaker about the startup culture at Stanford. "It's not what it used to be." "Too many people are doing them as summer projects and not fully committing." "My advice is to go work for a co like @tryramp or @cursor_ai. Look at how they work and then start your own."

My brain stretches when I read @WorksInProgMag. My nephew @ns_whit is a founding editor. New from Books in Progress, “Every noteworthy fix is a detective story or a caper story or both.” from the “Maintenance: Of Everything” by Stewart Brand. worksinprogress.co
