Four years since we lost Sir David Amess, we remember our dear friend - a kind and compassionate man devoted to serving the people of Southend. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and all who knew him. May his memory continue to shine as the example of selfless public service.

A strong turnout for the Chalkwell Ramp public meeting. @SouthendCityC must get emergency access sorted ASAP and then a permanent replacement constructed. Visitors to Southend will be affected this summer, but residents are affected every day, unable to get to the station.

Is she taking the piss! Labours budget took money OUT of my pocket. I was in line for a good payrise in Jan, but the delivery of the hard hitting budget on businesses meant I paid the price!!

@RachelReevesMP Are you joking... you do remember the previous budget you delivered? I was in line for a great bonus, after 2+ years of hard graft on some client work, & because of YOUR budget & the effects it had on companies, I paid the price! Tell me, how is this putting money in my pocket?

Conservatives are again setting the agenda on community safety: we’re getting more Community Safety Officers on our streets. Glad to see the Leader of the Council 🔴 knows where the ideas💡are coming from - If he wants to swap jobs, I’m sure @JamesCourtenay would be up for it!

The night itself was great, so its such a shame that this has put such a bad cloud over it all. It's incredibly disappointing and we won't be rushing back!

Offered to refund in vouchers, but its £60+ so not an acceptable solution. So then been asked to email proof instead. First email she'd been given bounced straight back. Now got another email... but we are over a week on, when you know we've over paid and its still not resolved.

@SlugSouthend 8 of us paid by card 15th Mar, till said only 6 had paid..card machine not connecting to till in live time. All of were showing as successful on the payment pad. So our friend paid the extra £60+ just in case and to save a drama.
