So in these hotels and on British military bases where migrant men are housed and they don’t want you to see what’s happening inside. They are receiving mental health classes, driving lessons, what makes me feel good lessons, English language lessons with interpreters, dance lessons. Lessons from British police in how to stay safe online and report a crime and many other things. They are not being housed to be processed and returned. They are being processed to be integrated into our communities.

A lot of mental health professionals are essentially doing basic self-help stuff. This is problematic because they’re using the trappings of a regulated healthcare professional to have more power, authority, and social status without actually being constrained by reality in the same way. That intellectual dishonesty imperils the vulnerable people under their “care”. I don’t blame individual practitioners for this. The system we’ve created is the problem.

I discovered over the last week that my failures in simple cheese making, pasta making and bread making was simply down to temp. You need a hot space. It's amazing how easy it is in a humid climate. Like almost zero efforts. One bag of flour and one ltr of milk. Amazing. Heat.
