@johnjazzharan @McCoyNiall Was to young to remember them days but from hearing stories they were Magical days. From 93-95 almost as good as anyone in the country. Perhaps should have won at least another Connacht in 95

@lugmeen @McCoyNiall Couldn't fault Leitrim for effort and heart but lacked a bit of quality IMO. Obviously missed too many chances. I was in Tuam Stadium in 93 and 94 when ye famously beat Galway and I celebrated with Leitrim people. Great days.

Leitrim won 68% of Galway's kick-outs in second half. That's a crazy return. A match of real genuine regret.

@johnjazzharan @McCoyNiall If we got the 3rd goal after intercepting the kickout I think we would. Galway just scrambled it out for a 45. We had them completely rattled only about 8 mins left and all the momentum

Another point on yesterday. I thought it would happen quicker, but noticeable that teams are coming back out to go for two more. Galway attempted 9 two-pointers in the first half yesterday, scored 3. This was class

Further to this anyone with Gaa+ look at the Galway KO on 48mins - McNulty fetches it and Leitrim are on an attack - Free against for nothing Then on 58mins after a Leitrim Goal O'Rourke is clean through after disrupting a short KO and tripped. No free or Black Card. A disgrace.
OntheBank@BankOnthe

That was heartening today by Leitrim Might not seem it to outsiders but I don't actually think Leitrim played near their potential (esp. in the first half) Once Leitrim came within 3 the Ref seemed intent to get Galway over the line The inconsistency of decisions was farcical

Wicklow kicked away a famous win last week and Leitrim the same today. Weaker counties are getting closer to the big guns and that should give encouragement to the likes of Down and Roscommon tomorrow…

@thomasniblock Pity the GAA plus stream isn't working.. it was working earlier for the Leitrim v Galway game and went off as soon as it was over and wouldn't work again..

1-17 in one half of football. Outrageous stuff from Armagh. 16 between the sides at HT. Ruthless

@Galway_GAA Tomorrow is undoubtedly the final in all but name. @LeitrimGAA had a lucky escape with Mickey Graham. Before and after Cian O'Neill was part of the backroom team Galway have been hamstrung with sub standard management teams even more so with John Divilly gone.

Some effort by Leitrim but the key game decisions went against them. McDaid should have a straight red for a box on McNulty when on the ground. Bottled by the linesman.

Sligo Rovers have recorded back-to-back victories for the first time this season with wins over Bohemians and Waterford. Can they make it three wins in a row when they welcome Dundalk to The Showgrounds on Saturday evening?

@AaronMaher95 The gap between Dublin and Wicklow surely is wider than the gap between Meath and Westmeath?

@jdavey5 @SmallerFishGAA Perhaps but it was a great ball in as well. Keeper came off the line I would suggest before the kick pass and then got stranded when the defender got wrong sided

Barry McNulty's goal yesterday from the stand - Turnover on 4 secs - Handpass then kick to link man - Immediate kick into McNulty - Lobbed finish - All took 11 seconds If Kerry did it we'd be raving about it Stephen Poacher, all is forgiven amigo 😀

@Milltowncarpark Over the last 3 or 4 times Leitrim played Sligo in the championship Leitrim should have won everyone of them games. Club football in both counties is very similar.
