@alphatozeta8148 @cursor_ai Hey, we haven't removed Composer 2 non-fast from the CLI. You can change to the non-fast variant by pressing tab in the model picker

@cursor_ai removed Composer 2 non-fast from cursor-agent. Fast is 3x more expensive 😞

We recently shipped quality-of-life improvements to the Cursor CLI to make working with agents in the terminal more delightful. Use /debug to find root causes and fix tricky bugs that are hard to reproduce or understand.

@luis18 @msfeldstein Nice! Would rewind also revert code changes? Ideally it it's a conversation only rewind (ie. not revert, just rewind to prev point in conversation). This will allow me to iterate on change, then go back and iterate on another change in the same chat without bloating context.

@msfeldstein @luis18 ctrl+o to expand a large block while model is still thinking. scroll up to read the top of the expanded bit, the terminal keeps scrolling me back down to the bottom. I want to read the block but instead my terminal (ghostty) keeps auto scrolling me down to “Running…” 🫠

Claude Opus 4.7 is now available in Cursor. We've found it to be impressively autonomous and more creative in its reasoning. We're launching it with 50% off for a limited time. Enjoy!

Finally! I wanted to use their CLI but it was quite not there yet with the other offerings. Time to test it. Now before anyone asks why I want to use Cursor. Because of their Model picker, Composer 2 is super fast/reliable and their Harness works quite well for our large repo and patterns. The CLI design and theme is also quite good (meaning it has taste). I gave tons of feedback to the team a few months ago, so now is the time to give it another shot.

@goncalossilva ++ I’ve used LLMs a lot with both Go and TypeScript, and Go code is consistently much nicer to read and maintain in general. Simpler language ergonomics go a long way, and the output also feels more deterministic across models and runs.

Provided sensible high-level architectural boundaries, I bet that long-term quality and maintainability is simpler and more realistic with languages like Go, Kotlin, or Swift, that are simple by design... Today.

TypeScript is lauded as the best language for LLMs alongside Python, given extensive training data but the more I use it—and we've gone BIG on it for the past year for obvious reasons—the more I realize it's really suboptimal. In fact, both of them are.

@luis18 @cursor_ai Thanks for the followup, that’s amazing! Can’t wait to give it a spin, I only have Cursor app open for debug mode, everything else I prefer to use the CLI, so this will be very nice.

We've raised limits for Auto and Composer 1.5 for all individual plans. Individual plans now have 3x usage of Composer 1.5 versus Composer 1. For a limited time (through February 16), we're increasing that to 6x.
