I went through this lately too. And tbh I think it’s something you have to figure out yourself.
What helped me after almost two decades in design was treating it a bit more like a job again. Do your best when working, still love the craft, then close the laptop and let it go. Fixed hours when possible helped too. Funny enough, limiting your time actually helps creativity.
Spend time with family, do something else. Hope it gets better mate ✌️

@AlexAperios @Spotify I actually read somewhere that a lot of Spotifys code is AI-generated now. Not sure if that’s true, but the experience definitely feels like it’s going downhill maybe just one giant wrong prompt in production 😅
English

Can someone tell me wtf happened to @Spotify the experience gets worse with each day of using it.
Force fed music i'm not even interested in. It's impossible to find anything like I used to. Who approves these updates. 🤦🏼♂️

@mrblackstudio No matter how long you’re gone, come back and nothing’s changed 😅 Happy New Year!
English

@0xCharlota @floraai Yeah, that could go off the rails really fast 😅

Big congrats to @CedricOsagie and @eshanbetrabet on the launch of the Thirdspace app 🚀
Also… casual moment when my branding project shows up on Times Square 😅

@CedricOsagie @eshanbetrabet @khizarmmm Huge congrats on the launch, what a way to close out the year 🚀 Such a pleasure working with you on the Thirdspace brand!

@AlexAperios Couldn’t agree more. I always tell clients a logo is for identification, not communication. It gains value over time and can’t tell everything.
English

A logo isn’t meant to carry a brand’s entire story.
The more ideas, symbols, and meaning you try to cram into a single mark, the more you miss the point of logo design: to be simple, recognisable, repeatable and abstract.
If a brand has a unique story to tell, that story should live in its messaging, tone, and broader visual system, not be forced into the logo itself.
I still see this mistake made far too often in a design brief, resulting in logos that look like everyone else’s, overly complex, tacky, and creatively limiting.
Timeless logos are built by stripping back, not by adding more.

@TheGeorgePu Real deep work? 30 hours a week is probably the cap tbh.
English

I work maybe 25-30 hours a week now.
Not because I figured out some hack.
Because I killed everything that drained me.
- SaaS products that needed maintenance.
- Clients who exhausted me.
- Meetings that should've been emails.
- Content I made because I 'should'.
GONE.
What's left:
Calls I want to take.
Things I actually use.
Writing that feels like thinking out loud.
2022: 60 hours felt productive.
2025: 60 hours would mean something's broken.
Took me 6 years to realize the goal wasn't more output.
It was less noise.

@figma Really nice, I use crop all the time, definitivly speed up the process!

@thenickpattison Really cool, the mascots laser-vision works great in the communication 👀

Last year, I won Best @Framer Designer. This year, I designed the 2025 Framer Awards site with @MonMichalczyk and @BenFryc. Going from winning the award to creating the experience is surreal. I'm so grateful for this full-circle moment and our incredible team 💙

@domesticetch Happy birthday, spinning rock still delivers sometimes 🥳
