@TheDrScience @Nostre_damus although I said "better to just rent GPU compute" that was wrong because I think nowadays BTC miners produce the cheapest energy they can so that if they mine Bitcoin at say an average cost of $40000 and the market price is $60000 they are just generating currency for a discount.

@TheDrScience @Nostre_damus Yeah makes sense, I've always thought if I got one I'd try power it with a combo of solar and wind power and yes also use the heat in winter, people say bitcoin mining is bad for the environment but I think economic incentive forces the use of clean energy for years now.
