New preprint! :) : "Insertion space in repulsive active matter". We show that the presence of activity increases the insertion volume and its connectedness. Our work extends equilibrium concepts of stochastic geometry to active systems. arxiv.org/pdf/2509.08131… #ActiveMatter

A puzzle, a knot in a piece writing, a persistent bug in code, and a mathematical problem are all things that become more pervious to resolution after taking a good long walk (or two). There is something, evolutionarily deep, in our species improved ability to think after moving.

New preprint! “Mesoscopic heterogeneity of biomolecular condensates from sequence patterning.” We explore how the distribution and preferential crowding of cohesive and spacer polymer blocks dictate the rich organization we see in assemblies of proteins. arxiv.org/abs/2502.14587

Scientific problems have but a few viewpoints where the entire solution reveals itself and shines bright, also uncovering seemingly unrelated truths. These good viewpoints are equivalent to perceptive questions, and asking these Qs should be the major preoccupation of scientists.
