What I don't get about climate change deniers is why they're opposed the green transition. Say they're right and its a hoax. We still end up with a high-tech industrial revolution, more trees in urban centres, cooling systems, public transport, more EVs! Why is that bad?

Just had to buy a couple of bits at the supermarket and thought I would pay cash. It came to £3.09. I handed over a £10 note and then said, “Wait, I think I’ve got the 9p”. Sure enough I had exactly 9p in change so handed that over too. “Sorry I’ve already put it through” says the checkout girl. “Yes but I can just give you the 9p and you give me £7.” “But I’ve already put it through.” “Yes, but…” At this point I could tell this conversation was not going to go anywhere so I meekly accepted my £6.91 of shrapnel. No wonder people can’t be bothered with cash any more.
