In response to today's news, Bungie has added a new healthcare benefit for its employees. "Travel Reimbursement for Unavailable Healthcare". It includes gender reassignment surgery and of course abortion. Hate that we need this, love that I work at a place that offers it.

Every time I get a new laptop, I wonder why I waited to upgrade. The efficiency gains make having the latest tech a no brainer, especially for people that work online.

@jotavic @stephsmithio Why get a pro model at all if you’re not doing heavy stuff? Save ~$1k. M1 is amazing for heavy stuff. More horsepower, snappier UIs, and it runs cool even when I’m pushing it hard.

@stephsmithio Not sure I agree. Honestly, I don’t think the latest Macbook M1 Pro is much faster than the 2012 Macbook Pro I had. Unless you’re doing heavy stuff like video editing of course.

Even Apple forgot about tvOS💀

Uvalde was a week ago. Since then, there have been 17 mass shootings in the United States, an average of more than two per day.

When I first came to Apple, I would regularly dump whole days into "nerd vanity" projects like low-value refactoring and optimization My managers were compassionate (perhaps having been this kid themselves 😅) and helped me get most of it out of my system.

Don’t worry, we won’t do anything about it this time either. But hey, if you want the right to protect your kids while cops twiddle their thumbs and taze parents, you could always become a cop! Perks of the job 👍.
