@Molson_Hart Does the jar and booklet count as substantial transformation? Are you going to get a Binding Rule from customs?

Two options to legally and ethically reduce tariffs paid: 1. Bonded warehouse. $20/pallet/month. Reply if sincerely interested. Deposit will be required. Customs entry required when goods are withdrawn. This delays tariff payment until you withdraw the goods (when you have the orders needed to do so). 2. Vietnam substantial transformation workshop. Reduces tariffs from 145% to 10%. Many components must be made in Vietnam. Comment if sincerely interested. For the record, I do support reindustrialization of the United States. It just needs to be done in an intelligent way, and slowly and methodically.

One of my favorite parts of building a company is competing. Our company, Simple Modern, competes with great brands we highly respect. It's fun to chase them. In the last 48 hours, something amazing happened for the first time: We had more google search volume than Hydro Flask

@thesamparr His wife moved to some remote town. That fall from grace must have been tough for his family. From living this super extravagant high life to the worlds biggest fraudster. Do you think she knew?

@thesamparr I was always impressed by how Madoff kept such a massive Ponzi scheme under wraps. That must have been hard, one leak and he could be finished. Not easy to sleep at night. Articles said he also quite liked prison. Possibly a weight lifted from his shoulders.

Did you know Apple puts a secret 30% tax on everything you buy through their App Store?
Watcher.Guru@WatcherGuru

@elonmusk Apple takes a 30% tax from app developers who make over $1 million through the ‌App Store‌ on an annual basis. Apple's App Store is the equivalent to a 30% tax on the Internet.

@thesamparr I reckon plugging small financial holes here and there didn’t feel like fraud at the time but it’s a slippery slope.

So Sam Bankman-Fried. He always interested and impressed me. But i've not followed him closely. At this point...is he a smart guy who made an error? Or a fraud?

@dvassallo Agree but in good companies the failed experiments that end up in your performance reviews are praised (as long as it’s not consistent failure). Action with risk of failure is better than inaction imo.

@elonmusk You should chart hateful speech historically through to current day on an ongoing basis and share the URL so that the general public and advertisers can see the improvements being made.

Again, to be crystal clear, Twitter’s strong commitment to content moderation remains absolutely unchanged. In fact, we have actually seen hateful speech at times this week decline *below* our prior norms, contrary to what you may read in the press.

@luketshelley I could imagine some cases where age-segmented targeting could help, I suppose. But I haven't seen age segmentation help an ad account in a long time. Segmenting happens by your creative reaching and speaking to the right audience, then the algo reinforcing that.

I just looked at an agency proposal for a ~$500k/myr brand I'm coaching where the FB/IG spend was $2k/month on Awareness & Clicks campaigns with lookalike, age-segmented targeting. I almost threw my computer across the room. I doubt the agency was being malicious, but geez.

@johncoogan Could Twitter not make the only way to get verified and pay through their website rather than on the Twitter iOS app?

if Twitter starts charging $8 per month, Apple is going to take $2.40 of that. very interested to see if Elon tries to find a way around that. he’s never been hit with the Apple tax before.
