I read several books with my daughter before bed--silly ones, funny ones, cute ones--yet the only one that she consistently laughs at is "Goodnight Moon," perhaps the most earnest book in children's literature. She just finds that book hilarious for unknown reasons.

@LukeEpplin It’s been a while, but every bedtime, I could see the joy in their eyes as I reached for this book. They loved trying to find where the mouse was on each page.

@lutzey She's consistently reaching for it, so she clearly loves it too. But midway through she never fails to laugh. We don't know why.
