@ultimoranet in realtà non è così, le norme europee riguardano la validità per l’espatrio. i comuni invece stanno ottemperando ad una circolare ministeriale, la quale non ha valore normativo.

Dal 3 agosto 2026 la carta d'identità cartacea non sarà più un documento di riconoscimento valido, indipendentemente dalla data di scadenza stampata. Sarà sostituita definitivamente dalla carta d'identità elettronica (CIE), in linea con le norme europee. Chi possiede ancora il vecchio formato dovrà richiederne la sostituzione presso il Comune di residenza o domicilio (o al consolato per chi vive all'estero)
