This is what an *actual* threat to democracy looks like. The system is hellbent on taking this man out, the Constitution be damned. I stand by my prior pledge to *withdraw* from any state’s ballot that ultimately removes Trump from its ballot. Maine voters didn’t elect Secretary of State @ShennaBellows. The Democrat-controlled Maine legislature picked her. She’s not a lawyer. Yet she issued a legal ruling Trump (somehow) incited an (unarmed) “insurrection” on January 6th. And she legally decreed Trump is (somehow) disqualified under a provision of the 14th Amendment enacted after the Civil War to chase out of office Confederates who fought the Union. She legally determined she—a partisan state election official— (somehow) has the power to unilaterally disqualify a presidential candidate. So hundreds of thousands of Maine voters don’t get to decide their presidential nominee. This arrogant, rabid nutjob should get sent to a padded cell.
