@Fergus_TK i mostly just hate all the tiny little hops he has in his blender that make parrying a nightmare. but i get that.
English

Ok but be nice, I'm willing to discuss 🫡
Some factors I've considered
- how easy can they check her defensive options
- what moves they can abuse vs her punishment wise and how hard they can punish her
- how often she has to chase them for pressure and their options for it

I got an Asuka MU chart but a bit spooked to post here coz I know people will scream at me 😅

@Foxhoundfl i would just love to be able to use asuka's db1,2 freely. i don't *want* to activate heat every time. sometimes i just want the high crush and/or the wallsplat.
English

Heat ain't going nowhere but making it an earnable resource would be a good start for not feeling like EVERY SINGLE ROUND has to use the mechanic built around 6/7 moves.

Hey forgive me for bringing nuance onto twitter, but there's a fundamental difference between GGST devs removing a mechanic that was added later into the games life and was received poorly and asking for mechanics that a game was designed around from the ground up to be taken out
English

As much as I dislike #T8_Bryan's install ff1+2, it should be more reliable when it successfully counters an attack. It may be the only remaining move of its kind that does not reversal break upon absorbing an attack, which leads to this strange interaction with Leroy's 2,1,2
English

@AyoRichie_98 generally good. wish they'd extended the counter-hit thing to ones that go into throws on counter-hit. asuka's b1 catches a lot of people stepping into buttons and i don't get the throw but it's not really the end of the world so...
English

@Righteous_Rojin @sin_nl7 these are the three active frames for raven's df2. this is not an elbow attack

English

No never mind. I'm going back to the fact that it's a bug that doesn't make any sense. #T8_report
It doesn't matter if the kick or punch leaves you back turned. It's just a bug that needs fixing. And until that time? Tournament ban lili :P
English

If you punish Bryan's f,f+1+2 with a throw he can still break it despite it being a Strong Parry #T8_report
English

@SesujinIsLost (i put this here and not as a reply to the main one because it should be buried here and people digging this far down will understand it's a bit)
English

@saiya_ran I'm not buying FRLG on Switch (no real need for them) but I get both versions because I like completing the Pokédex by myself, and I enjoy replaying Pokémon games.
I think they're worth my time and money but I entirely understand people thinking that's excessive.
English

@Ivanhb2912 @Speedkicks Again, I would not be against better backdashing. I would not be against better sidestepping. Both of them being further buffed would be good and cool. I just find this particular comparison to be disingenuous at best.
English

@Ivanhb2912 @Speedkicks I know there are things you could step in 7 that you can't in 8 but I also know there are things you can step in 8 that you can't in 7. Which just goes back to my point that he only mentions stepping in 8 when it fails.
English

Sometimes I wish I could just go to the Namco office, show these comparisons, and have a conversation with the dude who thinks the Tekken 8 version is better.
Nova@NovaSeiken
Sick and tired of the lies: the Tekken community deserves better. We deserve TRUTH. #tekken #fgc
English

@Speedkicks i know. i just don't like that the main focus this guy has on defensive play is on backdashing. every other option only exists when they fail. a bit of extra backdash movement would be very nice and appreciated. i just don't need it to be *the* defensive option.
English

@lycceto Backdash whiff creation and sidestep whiff creation have different effects on the game.
English

@Speedkicks that said, asuka's u1 should not have *any* tracking for SSR. stupid fucking thing complicates stepping asuka way more than it should for a move that's got half-homing(?) properties.
English

@Speedkicks i'd care more about those comparisons if backdashing was the only defensive option in 8. until he starts doing wr1+2, you can sidewalk asuka in either direction to beat d1+2. when sidewalking right beats most of her kit already, this is just a weird complaint.
