Apparently my R01 is so interdisciplinary that no known branch of NIH is qualified to review it. I spend months writing it, and it was bounced off 3 different sections until it was WITHDRAWN. We are soon submitting this work to Science. Great support of innovative research. 💀

Celebrating this week and the people that helped along the way. We had two manuscripts accepted this week. One, my final project within the lab of PY von der Weid and the other the culmination of @Kp_Keane’s PhD work! Very grateful to do fun science and work with amazing people

Yesterday I successfully defended my PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Tech! Thank you so much to all of the mentors, friends, and family who supported me throughout this process.

@dufourlab I recently followed a “as previously published” methods-rabbit-hole all the way back to the original paper in 1958 which then didn’t detail a damn thing!
