@JoshuaBarzon If that's true, why are there two versions of Genesis? Some argue that because of their differences they "complement" each other. That makes no sense. A claim is either true or it isn't. So which version of Genesis is true? I know the answer to that question: neither of them.

"Evolutionist" is not an actual word, just like there are no "gravitationists".
Evolution is an observed reality. Your viewers don't decide what is reality, your viewers, I assume, are brainwashed Christians. Christians in America are becoming the dumbest Christians on the planet

@NickQuient Gervais's question was just a rhetorical one directed at believers. I would like to join in on the fun: "Lots of believers say God speaks to them. But why believers? Shouldn't God be speaking to atheists?"

It is not a leap of faith. It is logic.
For every effect, you need an adequate cause. Things do not just pop into existence out of nowhere.
We know from science that the universe has a beginning. (Second law of thermodynamics, expanding universe, red shift, cosmic background radiation, etc.)
Therefore, the universe must have a cause.
And that cause must be outside the universe -- outside space, time, and matter.
And it must be a personal being who has the capacity to create, who can plan and act.

@NancyRPearcey It's a leap of faith, not science, to conclude there was a creator before spacetime came into existence. There was no space or time for a creator to create a universe. Besides, the creator's atoms would have been scattered across the universe when it expanded in the Big Bang.

@Keronos2025 @Truth_matters20 I spend most of my social media time on Bluesky. But I love returning here once in a while to troll believers. It's fun. I do, however, avoid most of the nutjobs who post brainless stuff, but when I see any easy response, I can't resist. But how does this thread give them money?

Yeah, sure, people can *be* evil, but aren't we all "born good"? My niece had a baby a couple of weeks ago. You're going to tell me the baby is "evil" or a "sinner"?
