The probable cause for this crash and the DC mid-air collision will most likely be primarily focused on pilot error. In this case, the pilot clearly entered the round-out/flair portion of the landing much too late and caused the main landing gear to collapse. In the case of the DC mid-air collision, the helicopter crew requested visual separation and did not exercise their duty to maintain visual separation.
In the case of the Toronto crash, it is possible we might find out there were mechanical issues with the aircraft, but I doubt that will be the case. Either way, none of the holes in the swiss-cheese model that will be identified during the crash investigations will be related to any of the actions that have taken by the Trump administration over the past several weeks.
It takes years for the results of poor management to surface in any industry. If anyone is to blame for what has been happening at the FAA over the past 4 years, one should start looking at actions, or inactions taken by the Biden administration and the administrations appointees at the FAA.

Something’s going on in the skies, and it’s getting harder to ignore. Four major plane crashes. 85 lives lost. 15 aviation incidents in just the first six weeks of 2025.
And now, a Delta flight just flipped on the runway in Toronto, adding to the chaos.
So what’s changed? Well, Trump’s back in office, and right on cue, his administration just fired hundreds of FAA employees, including air traffic controllers and aviation safety personnel. The very people who keep planes from, you know, colliding mid-air.
Now, let’s connect the dots. January 29: A catastrophic mid-air crash over D.C. kills 67. January 31: A medical transport plane goes down in Philly. February 6: A Bering Air flight crashes in Alaska. February 10: A Learjet in Scottsdale slams into a parked jet. And now this Delta disaster.
Aviation safety doesn’t just collapse overnight.
You gut the FAA, you roll the dice with people’s lives. But sure, let’s pretend it’s all just a coincidence.

On Trade, I have decided, for purposes of Fairness, that I will charge a RECIPROCAL Tariff meaning, whatever Countries charge the United States of America, we will charge them - No more, no less!
For purposes of this United States Policy, we will consider Countries that use the VAT System, which is far more punitive than a Tariff, to be similar to that of a Tariff. Sending merchandise, product, or anything by any other name through another Country, for purposes of unfairly harming America, will not be accepted. In addition, we will make provision for subsidies provided by Countries in order to take Economic advantage of the United States. Likewise, provisions will be made for Nonmonetary Tariffs and Trade Barriers that some Countries charge in order to keep our product out of their domain or, if they do not even let U.S. businesses operate. We are able to accurately determine the cost of these Nonmonetary Trade Barriers. It is fair to all, no other Country can complain and, in some cases, if a Country feels that the United States would be getting too high a Tariff, all they have to do is reduce or terminate their Tariff against us. There are no Tariffs if you manufacture or build your product in the United States.
For many years, the U.S. has been treated unfairly by other Countries, both friend and foe. This System will immediately bring Fairness and Prosperity back into the previously complex and unfair System of Trade. America has helped many Countries throughout the years, at great financial cost. It is now time that these Countries remember this, and treat us fairly – A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR AMERICAN WORKERS. I have instructed my Secretary of State, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of the Treasury, and United States Trade Representative (USTR) to do all work necessary to deliver RECIPROCITY to our System of Trade!

@elonmusk The first act of the 119th Congress should be to restrict all future legislation to no more than 100 pages. This would force future to be more streamlined and reduce the ability for career politicians to hide pork in the legislative text.

@elonmusk If you can't describe a law in just a few paragraphs, it probably shouldn't be a law.

Incredible news: President @realDonaldTrump planning to tax excessively large private university endowments (which have benefited greatly from taxpayer $) to establish American Academy, a free online university for all. Purely academic.
