A SPECTACULAR FALL FROM GRACE… Advocate Thabani Mpofu, I have for SO LONG observed the many POSTS which you have made, often castigating and scandalizing the RULING PARTY. I have DELIBERATELY withheld myself from responding out of RESPECT for your once DISTINGUISHED standing as an Advocate. With the greatest respect Counsel, you are now taking it TOO FAR. To publicly allege that I control ZANU PF is totally ABSURD and only shows how deep the FRUSTRATIONS of being left in the COLD by Chamisa have totally BLURRED your PROFESSIONAL judgment. For the avoidance of any DOUBT, I do not control or WISH to control the RULING PARTY in any manner whatsoever !!! I am a businessman, and that’s where my interest and ambitions are. I am simply an UNAPOLOGETIC, very loyal and ordinary CARD-CARYING member of ZANU PF. I run my BUSINESSES, I support my FAMILY and I contribute, where I can, to the socio-economic DEVELOPMENT of this country. Contrary to your sensational, yet half-witted claims, ZANU PF is controlled under ONE CENTRE OF POWER, led by His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa 🐊🐊🐊🦁. It is a party that has well-established and fully fledged STRUCTURES led by the PRESIDIUM, the POLITBURO and the CENTRAL COMMITTEE, among others, but all of which I do not sit or participate in. Haasi MAHUMBWE eku CCC kunonzi bereka mwana tiende 🤣🤣🤣 . What is particularly DISAPPOINTING Counsel, is that these assertions are now coming from someone who was RECOGNISED WORLD OVER and once regarded as one of the most ADMIRABLE and TALENTED Advocates in Zimbabwe. In the past, I PERSONALLY engaged you to represent me on several matters, and your BRILLIANCE and command of the law were SECOND TO NONE. It is therefore profoundly DISCONCERTING to see how your SPECTECULAR FALL from the WEAK ECHELONS of opposition politics has left you PROFESSIONALLY DESTITUTE and having to resort to smear campaigns after realizing that your useless opposition “LEADER” deserted and abandoned you when you least expected it and when you wanted him the MOST. It is also sad how the TOXICITY of opposition politics has left you being a PALE IMAGE of your former glory…My humbe advice to you is that please try focus on the “FULCRUM” and “PITH” of your legal practice and refrain from dragging my precious name or smearing my good standing as a MEMBER of the REVOLUTIONARY MASS PARTY, ZANU PF ✊🏽. HAMUNA ZERA ne politics Gweta. What you must simply accept is that UNLIKE the CCC which has changed its FORM and CHARACTER as many times as it has FAILED its own followers, ZANU PF is anchored on the IDEOLOGIES of the liberation struggle. It is guided by UNITY of purpose and an irreversible ASPIRATION to deliver an UPPER MIDDLE-INCOME ECONOMY under VISION 2030. You are better off attending to the very few briefs left still coming to your CHAMBERS, than making BASELESS and NONSENSICAL claims against me, which takes away everything from the LITTLE that is left of your integrity. BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY !!!
Thabani Mpofu@adv_fulcrum

Let’s pause to acknowledge Tagwirei, Tungwarara and Chivayo. These three have exposed ZANU PF as a totemless myth; devoid of values and indifferent to the loyalty of its members. Where did these three, who now run the party, even come from? I feel for everyone who sacrificed for that monster; some were even involved in the killing of opposition figures. We will never forget Gukurahundi, short- and long-sleeve, Murambatsvina, the 1 August shootings to name but a few. All that delinquency and ngozi, only for the party to be handed to these three. Well done, gentlemen. Today I’m crushing on you. Fambai vakomana pasi panyoro.

Having commented on VP Chiwenga's Hezekiah video, it's strange how criticising President Mnangagwa can be palatable and even accepted, and yet the same for Vice President Chiwenga is deemed kufarisa? Politics hadzisi dzekutyisidzirana and an unwarranted attack on the President is an attack on the nation! We can't allow that. The VP has literally been undermining both his superior and the party he belongs to, and he should be called out for it. I must reiterate my stance: defending the President against such insidious acts is a matter of principle. Were the tables turned and VP Chiwenga were the one in the presidency, I would equally spring to his defence against any similar subversive actions. There are platforms and ways of venting one's grievances at that level instead of grandstanding. If left unchecked, his current manoeuvres could sow dangerous seeds of discontent that could destabilise the party in the future. Politically, while social media has clapped hands for him, ED has managed to remain calm and diplomatic, focusing on the angles and areas that matter. That’s political nous, which the VP is betraying himself as lacking. It’s no wonder that the very base upon which the VP could have built upon to engineer his way to power one day has been slowly but effectively decimated, even as his social media gravitas appears to be flaring up. It’s because he is focusing on the wrong political constituency! It's almost like a reincarnation of Chamisa, all words, verses and social media coronations, and yet structurally vulnerable as to be impotent politically! ZANU PF as a party remains the only viable instrument for assumption of power, and yet his actions, undermining the very same party, are an act of self-condemnation.  The party is the water to the fish that he is, and his actions amount to thrashing all the water out. You can’t speak and act to please the opposition constituency and yet hope to ride to power on the back of internal support. Even more damning today, he is effectively operating within a controlled environment despite the veneer of potency which his words attempt to convey. Some have dared ZANU-PF to fire him, and yet that would be a mistake in that he will now be operating outside a controlled context. Many in the party also have aspirations for the top seat, yet they never recklessly throw around their military or liberation war weight as an entitlement to the seat. A genius politician simply builds a support base, canvassing for support in the normal and recognised way, without undermining his superior and destabilising the whole party.

“Does the Constitution actually require a referendum for the changes being proposed? A careful reading of the Constitution of Zimbabwe (2013) suggests the answer is no. Section 328 is not a vague guideline. It is the Constitution’s procedural backbone for amendments. It sets out a two-track system. First, there are standard amendments. These can be passed by Parliament, provided there is a two-thirds majority in both houses and a 90-day period of public notice. This is not a loophole or a shortcut. It is the default mechanism deliberately built into the Constitution”#CAB3 iol.co.za/sundayindepend…

TANGIBLE RESULTS FROM ANOTHER BIG PROJECT Ronchelle Investments has successfully delivered a US$27 million Gypsum Processing Plant, now producing Rhinoset and Rhino Boards that are already making a strong impact on the market. What began in 2024 has quickly transformed into a fully operational industrial success story, showcasing commitment, efficiency, and results. Plans to scale up are already in motion, with an additional US$15 million secured for expansion signaling continued growth and increased production capacity. Such tangible results are why many people are saying he should remain in office until 2030. Below are images capturing the journey during the construction phase of this milestone project.

35 out of 56 Commonwealth countries do not directly elect their head of government. That’s 63%.  We may not be in the Commonwealth, but most of its members are our development peers—so on democratic governance, that’s a useful benchmark. Worth asking: how do we compare? #CAB3

Wicknell Chivayo announced a US$3.6 million donation to be shared equally among all 360 Zimbabwean MPs and Senators. Each legislator is set to receive US$10,000, however, the TEMU president is not happy about this donation as he feels that Wicknell amupindira Mu-Garden rake , and will sway the legislators, hence he sent his lapdog, Kandishaya to go after Weak-Nail and Tungwarara. They spent hours and hours plotting their next move. In their meeting, they were planning to engage Mudenda and Machacha to reject the donation. That is the reason you are seeing Kandishaya attacking Weak-Nail, he is singing for his supper. TEMU team irikukamhinha !! 😂😂🤣🙌🏽

Armed robbers attacked an orphanage and church in Westgate and stole over US$30,000. The robbers spent about an hour searching offices before escaping with cash. They used a rifle believed to have been stolen from a police officer. Two security guards were attacked—one was beaten, handcuffed, and tied up, while the other was also assaulted during patrol. 🔸Tinenge tichitofunga kuti the “big legal brains” dzeZANU will at least attempt to mount a cogent argument to sanitize their dodgy hearings but wotozoona kuti they’re in the forefront of confirming that it was a @ZANUPF_Official window-dressing sham affair with no bona fide intention of hearing the views of the masses. What’s troubling is that matauriro aya haazodi havo munhu mukuru. We could understand if this was being said by @DexterNduna because he graduated recently. However, when it comes from the former Minister of Justice who knows better and has even publicly stated that the proposed changes require a referendum, hana dzedu dzikotorova. What changed from your previously held view? Asi makazovhundutsirwa mukanzi leave your brain at the door? Anyway, here we have it - confirmation that the violent, fast-tracked, choreographed, hearings were a total charade. What a shame. We need new leaders.🇿🇼
ZanuPF Treasurer General - Patrick Chinamasa@ChinamasaPA

Public Hearings soliciting people’s views and input on Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 were conducted in all 71 administrative districts of Zimbabwe by 11 Parliamentary teams. The consultation phase, spanning 90 days, was concluded on 2 April 2026. These hearings, covering all administrative districts of the country - 71 of them - went exceedingly well, and the people spoke boldly in support of Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3. These Public Hearings were all part of the 90-day consultation process, starting from 16 February 2026, soliciting public input into the Bill. The people spoke, and loudly so, in support of Number 3. The people unreservedly and overwhelmingly supported the proposed Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill. All went well countrywide except for the Public Hearing held at the City Sports Centre in Harare on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. This was the only bad apple, from what I can gather, among all public hearings held countrywide. The City Sports Centre Public Hearing was marred by agents provocateurs and the naivety of some Zanupf supporters, who failed to read that the end game of the agents provocateurs was to disrupt the proceedings without showing their hand, and to attract international attention and condemnation to the consultation process. I always give this example to those who care to listen: when a person attends a Public Hearing with a predictable, overwhelming 99.99% of Zanupf supporters, with the intention to express publicly and loudly a 0.01% opposition view, I consider that provocative to the 99.99% of the attendees. The reaction is predictable, by all accounts in Zimbabwe, as would be the case in any part of the world. I am sure those who have studied Behavioral Sciences will testify to this kind of behaviour by the masses at a mass gathering. Over the Easter religious events, the readings from the Bible revealed this predictable behaviour of the masses over the fate of Jesus Christ. The behaviour of the masses, when assembled together, is highly predictable. An assembled crowd of people of one mind does not take kindly to a differing viewpoint. I say this not to justify what happened at City Sports Centre, but to point out the frailty of human beings the world over, from time immemorial, and to highlight the foolishness of Doug Coltart and his ilk in attending that public hearing with the intention to voice opposition to Constitutional Amendment Number 3. Behaviorally, we are no different from the Jews of the year AD 33. I cannot conclude this piece without commenting on the allegation made against Zanupf Central Committee member, Cde Luckmore Tinashe Gapa, that he snatched lawyer Doug Coltart’s cellphone, and that this was caught on camera. This allegation is serious and highly defamatory against Cde Gapa, and causes reputational damage to the public image of Zanupf as an ideologically sound revolutionary party. Media reports that Doug Coltart has filed crime charges against Cde Luckmore Tinashe Gapa, a member of the Zanupf Central Committee, with the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), are understandable - well and good. If the Doug Coltart allegations are proven true in a court of law, this will constitute damning evidence against the Zanupf Central Committee member involved, Cde Luckmore Tinashe Gapa, and, as a consequence, he would not escape disciplinary charges against him by Zanupf. Cde Gapa, if convicted, stands to be hauled before the Zanupf National Disciplinary Committee, chaired by our National Chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, to answer to the charges. If convicted, Cde Luckmore Tinashe Gapa will not have a place of honour in the Zanupf Central Committee. You see, the Zanupf Central Committee is the highest organ of Zanupf in between Congresses, and is made up of people of high integrity and probity. It will not have room for someone convicted of snatching or stealing cellphones from members of the public, even if the victims are members of the opposition. As for young Doug Coltart, I regret that he has, most unfortunately and regrettably, inherited his father’s political Rhodesian Front genes. How I wish he had moved to the left politically and become a Zanupf youth cadre. He is being made to unfairly atone for the colonial sins of his father, David Coltart, the current Mayor of Bulawayo City Council. Those who have eyes, let them “eye”; and those who have ears, “ear”. Nokuti hatigoni kurega kutaura izvotakaona neizvotakanzwa.

Dear @begottensun It's been a while since we talked. My brother, whenever I wanted to break the ice in the past, you would come and tell me it's not yet ripe. Let's talk of these issues when we are in our 60s and 70s. My question to you,my beloved begotten brother is, "are we doing Zimbabwe a favour by denying them the chance to know the truth about their perceived political saviours?" Is Zimbabwe not yet ripe for the truth and to stand together regardless of political jackets to form a true and united Zimbabwe? At what point shall we mend our broken social fabric? At what point are we going to all put Zimbabwe first? My brothers @ali_naka @ProfJNMoyo @ibbosnr @LloydMsipa @Hon_Kasukuwere when are we all going to sober up and put Zimbabwe first, my sisters @advocatemahere @TateMavetera @OppaMuchinguri @KarenyiKore @JoanaMamombe tisu vana mhayi nana yaya vacho timire papi? Hopewell Chin’ono’s social media post on the alleged “sidelining” of Gift Ostallos Siziba in Nketa is a masterclass in manipulative political theatrics. He opens with a curated biography - former MP, student leader, activist - not to inform, but to condition his audience into suspending scrutiny and accepting his claims as fact. That is not an argument; it is propaganda. It is telling that a self-styled defender of the people must lean on such theatrics rather than evidence. At the core of Chin’ono’s claim lies a deeply flawed premise - that legitimacy is conferred by giving a microphone to familiar political figures. This is false. Siziba was rejected by his own electorate. He does not speak for them, and no amount of social media framing can manufacture that mandate. Legitimacy flows from the participation of ordinary citizens, not from amplifying recycled political personalities seeking relevance. Public hearings are not stages for political resurrection. They are structured processes designed to gather input from the broad citizenry, not platforms for grandstanding by individuals with prior agendas. Those dissatisfied have lawful channels available, including the courts. Resorting to public outrage is not civic engagement - it is unecessary noise. The complaint itself collapses under basic logic. Thousands attend these hearings. It is neither practical nor necessary to accommodate every individual who demands to speak. To expect personalised airtime in such a setting is not just unreasonable - it is absurd. Finally, context matters. Conveners are fully aware of attempts by certain actors to disrupt proceedings. Where individuals have established patterns of interference, restricting their access is not exclusion - it is safeguarding the integrity of the process. In that light, the decision was not only justified; it was very responsible.
