This is the third time Mexico has hosted the World Cup since 1970 whilst England have been repeatedly denied despite having Wolrd Class stadia and very successfully hosting Euros + Olympics.
It seems absurd that Mexico, riddled with corruption, with its altitude issues and a laissez-faire attitude to blatant intimidation of foreign players gets to host it so often.
But then again, FIFA is a deeply corrupt organisation.

Calling Ronaldo the greatest goalscorer in football history is misleading.
Let's look at the actual numbers:
• Messi scored 916 goals in 1,158 matches = 0.79 goals per game
• Ronaldo scored 973 goals in 1,326 matches = 0.73 goals per game
This is why goal ratio matters.
Simply counting total goals ignores the fact that Ronaldo has played 168 more matches. The more games you play, the more opportunities you get to score.
The same trend appears in goal contributions per minute:
• Messi: 1 goal contribution every 71.6 minutes
• Ronaldo: 1 goal contribution every 87.9 minutes
So Messi scores more frequently and contributes to goals more often.
Ronaldo has the higher total because he's played significantly more matches.

We are looking at 104 games across 12 groups, which would demand a minimum of 16world-class, FIFA-approved stadiums. Manchester United have taken out a further $125million in long-term debt following a refinancing of borrowings related to the Glazer family’s 2005 takeover.
A filing to the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirmed on Friday that United have restructured their $425m senior secured notes, which were due for repayment next year.
The refinanced debt now amounts to $550m, at a higher interest rate of 5.36 per cent. The previous rate, secured in 2015, was 3.79 per cent.
