@BirdGuides I saw a lone female on the moorland edge around Ashworth Moor reservoir, above Heywood, LANCS, this spring when I usually have several breeding pairs and a good passage of Greenlands in late April / early lying May. None in autumn!!!!!!

It has been suggested that my Spotted Flycatcher might actually be a Pied. I am afraid this blurred photo is the only one I got. It was only a fleeting glimpse! I wonder what other people think? It would be a patch first if it were.

I think I had 2 new birds for the year a Chiffchaff (the worst pic of one I will probably get this year but the 1st one is always exciting!) Also, I think a Jack Snipe? If it is that it 86 for the year for Marbury this year.

@SwanwatchUk @peediepuss @CAWOSBirding @RareBirdAlertUK IMO it’s a plover as you can see a wing bar and darker edge to wing, also black line thro eye and white supercilium then dark cap. But white breast no black bar! It would be very useful if you could relocate wader and take more pictures

Had a wonderful day at Parkgate as the tide came right up to The Parade wall. Male and female marsh harriers, ringtail hen harrier, thousands of geese and waders, finches, raven, kestrel, stonechat pair - but the highlight was my first ever mole!
