1/ My current project involves learning about the conventions of painting portraits, figures and narratives developed by Ancient Greek painters over an approx. 200 year period (550-350 B.C.). I’ve been developing my own images in @procreate as I get the hang of the conventions.

@ngadc I saw the show and found the evidence underlying their conclusion far from compelling. Maybe the curators dumbed things down for a general audience, but their bases seemed thin. Visually, to me, it’s a Vermeer.

When someone tells you that Vermeer’s artistic achievements went unnoticed throughout his life and in the centuries that followed. 👀
