Where are all my girls over 40 in peri/meno finally being taken seriously or finally realizing they need to be taken seriously for the neurodivergence they masked for decades, and are hanging by a thin thread, and actually like and support other women and find comfort in community? @Yrrepmot I find stretching and a weighted blanket sometimes help in the moment. A brisk ride on my stationary bike will usually settle it. I take iron, Pregabalin, and a dopamine agonist (Neupro) to control it and they just barely work. It’s the absolute worst.

Who else with #MECFS or #LC has Restless Leg Syndrome? I think this is what I’m experiencing. It only happens at night before sleep. And luckily it doesn’t keep me awake anymore but it use to. It’s such a weird sensation - the compulsion to pull, stretch & pull your legs. Can’t be ignored. I’ve had it for as long as I can remember. I’m wondering how common this is? Has anyone found anything that helps?

@lynndale2 @GrandpaKen05 We flew this weekend within Canada to see a hockey game and the airports were packed. Toronto airport had one of its busiest March break kick offs ever. Canadians are going to the Caribbean and Europe and within Canada. Airlines are eliminating American routes and adding new ones

@GrandpaKen05 Given Canadas economy and value of The Canadian $$$ vs the US $$$ I’m sure that is a large reason as well. Given your economy and the cost of just putting food on the table and gas in the cars who can afford to travel.

They laughed and mocked us when we said we will boycott traveling their and buying American. Conservatives here were saying it wouldn't last and would give up. Here it is one year and that movement just keeps growing. No whining,no bragging,no tears. Just a resolve, and ❤️ of 🇨🇦

Kiddo’s glucose sensor not only decided to malfunction during our Ottawa trip, it died at the beginning of the hockey game. Because of course it did. Diabetes has to make everything a bit less fun.

We saw the Sharks!!

Our flight was cancelled today. We are going to miss things tomorrow that we scheduled weeks ago tomorrow and we are disappointed but I’m so, so grateful that no one decided to risk an unsafe departure or landing. Happy to be safe on the ground.

@friendof_thedog We’ve just arrived home after they cancelled our flight on the way to the airport. Likely a good think in this fog but disappointing nonetheless. We will try again tomorrow. In more comfy pants.

@macdoin I got my comfy reitman’s pants all set for May. (Black, elastic waist, def pass for dressier pants) Wherever you’re going I hope it’s fun!

We’ve had a dog bed in our room since we got Grady. This morning there was a dog in it! This was the first time he felt comfortable enough to leave his safe corner in the living room and sleep near us. Progress!!

Update: Grady is contemplating a piece of banana with a great deal of skepticism.

The government sent me a long detailed letter about why they were not giving me money I felt I was owed. Fine. Then the money arrived in my account No explanation has arrived They’re gonna want it back someday, aren’t they?

@GothicRebecca @wonderartsy I just got sick after a neurology appointment where he insisted I remove my mask but that it “was safe”. I’m really annoyed. Thankfully it was a really mild virus and I didn’t need steroids but the whole thing was really unnecessary.

@macdoin @wonderartsy Keep strong! You do NOT need to remove your mask for eye exams. Took my mask with me for spinal operation. Shoved it back on myself in recovery room. Had my own hepa filter and more masks, booster on board. Staff going off sick due to awful cold/flu - I didn’t catch it. (“Covid”)

Still masking... tell me, where are all the people masking in 2026 that others find so offensive? I'm looking for more clean air savvy contacts. #MaskUp

@jaygoldcorner @wonderartsy Yes, and even required at our hospital. But then they make you take it off for silly stuff like eye exams. It doesn’t cover your eyes. I just got my first virus in 6 years at a neurology appointment after being made to take off my mask for part of the visit.

@CanadianKayMD I’ve seen Great Big Sea open for three acts who were (at the time) far better known and anticipated. Only Sting came close to matching them. They were always fantastic and I’d love too see Alan Doyle as a solo act.

Security kept having everyone move away from the stage but Alan kind of poked at them a bit over it and eventually it became a good old party up front. And now I have a new favourite tshirt. Fantastic show, as always. Have never been disappointed.
