I'm unsure this statement from West Midlands Police makes them look any better. Malicious communications is a summary only offence – i.e. a less serious one – so the police officers probably still had no lawful right to force entry to seize the phone.

Tbf to Gareth, he didn't say he didn't welcome debate. He made a valid point which is that many of the people who voted for the cancellation were - tragically - women themselves. They included Christine Jardine MP + Baroness Featherstone. Lots of Lib Dems are confused about the definition of women. We are trying to unravel the confusion.

@piersmorgan Its probably one of the least complex questions you can ask. Women are adult human females @Eddavey same as they have always been. Females produce large gametes, and unless they have a DSD, have XX chromosomes. Even with DSD's we know who are male and who are female #sexmatters

UK: After posting the video of the two West Midland Police officers #29500 and #29110 attempting to confiscate the phone of a child for watching a social media post I deleted it assuming it had to be a skit. I reached out to the West Midlands Police department and when they would not deny the officers were real I decided to repost the video. The British people really need to wake up. This is no way to live. If the mother of the child refused to turn over the phone to the police they threatened to arrest the child.
