@Blue_Pie_Ninja @BaldingPhillip I totally agree. I think it will be difficult in certain areas to get MW charging stations installed in the numbers needed to make it viable. Local delivery companies in major regions could also benefit from electric trucks.

@machine_su13706 @BaldingPhillip Any reduction in diesel use within urban areas is great for long distance freight haulage which cannot be electrified as easily.

This trucks lfp battery costs probably $60k and saves $1200 a day Will charge 2000-3000 times Unbelievably dumb to still have brand new diesel trucks on the market
Sydney EV 🔋☀️@sydney_ev

a Windrose #EV Truck, just competed a loaded B Double run from Sydney to Canberra non stop, no need to charge, 100% electric. total cost $50 approx. Diesel would have cost near $500 or more. We have solutions to our fuel crisis.. #auspol #trucking brisbanetimes.com.au/environment/cl…

@PC__LoadLetter @sydney_ev @plugshare I thought trucks needed MCS to be able to fast charge? If they are the KW chargers how long to charge it to be able to get back to the depot? I think ev trucks have a place on short haul in Australia. Sydney to Canberra and Sydney to Melbourne for now but that will expand.

@machine_su13706 @sydney_ev Officially? No. Unofficially? Yeah, the cables reach to the driveway behind, the ones trucks use to get from the diesel pumps to the truck parking area. Pic from @plugshare

@JEChalmers And how many have been fined or issued some sort of breach notice? How has Australia’s fuel rise been the fastest in the world before the expensive fuel has even arrived ?

We’ve just introduced new legislation into Parliament to help consumers get a fair go at the petrol pump with bigger penalties for false and misleading conduct and cartel behaviour. We’re putting petrol companies on notice. We won’t cop big corporates treating Australian motorists like mugs.

@JordanEVGuy I hope more people take up EVs to reduce fuel consumption. I personally won’t transition to one until there is no other choice.

2.3 MILLION barrels of oil…GONE! Every. Single. Day. Let that sink in for a second. In 2025 alone, electric vehicles are expected to displace 2.3 million barrels of oil per day globally. It’s no wonder the fossil propaganda machine is running 24/7. This isn’t a “future prediction”, this happened in 2025, and is expected to grow. At $100 a barrel, that’s roughly $84 BILLION staying out of the fossil fuel system. And by 2030? That number could more than double. But here’s the part people don’t talk about enough… Every barrel of oil NOT burned means… • Less emissions. • Less reliance on unstable oil markets. • More money staying in people’s pockets. • More energy independence. This is why EVs matter. It’s not just about “cars”. It’s about reshaping the entire energy system. And it’s already well underway. People still say “EVs are a fad” and “EVs won’t make a difference”. Meanwhile… They’re quietly removing millions of barrels of oil demand every single day

Pretty much has to be non-stop. The only place you can charge is Sutton Forest northbound maccas. Drive through the servo, past the diesel pumps, and then pull up on the right. Provided your CCS2 plug is on the right, otherwise you have to drive backwards from the truck parking area towards the diesel pumps.

@sydney_ev I understand where you’re coming from but how much time have you spent in remote communities? Getting trades of any type is nearly impossible let alone setting up solar farms and batteries.

Baffles my mind, in the era of large grid scale batteries, and ever more efficient Solar panels and farms, that so many outback remote communities are till 100% reliant on diesel fuel for town power... abc.net.au/news/2026-03-2…

@sydney_ev How will 500km range work for trucks outside of metro areas? What sort of charging infrastructure is needed to charge them and can the grid in rural areas support that ?

many argue that #EV trucks wont work for longer haul, even though some are now capable of 500Km or more at GVM. saying charge times are to long for the industry, reality is, Accountants will make the call, and if an EV truck can save them $5K in fuel per trip, it will happen.

Power bills officially dropping across Australia from July 2025. Proof the answer isn’t drill baby drill — it’s charge baby charge. More renewables = cheaper energy. Fossil fuels? Volatile, expensive, still rising. The system isn’t broken. It’s transitioning. #Bettrification theguardian.com/australia-news…

Remember when we had a decade of LNP telling us EV tech wouldn't work, how's that going? Australian company now developing an electric combine harvester if only we could fund such development, instead of fossil fuels, and still suffering oil price shocks. linttas.com

Politicians like Keir Starmer and Anthony Albanese have enabled Israel’s genocide in Gaza and materially support US-Israeli war crimes in Iran and Lebanon. Then they visit our mosques on days like Eid, expecting smiles, selfies and photo ops. What did they think would happen?

Australia's prime minister has been booed and shouted at by protesters during a visit to the country's largest mosque. Anthony Albanese and Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke attended Eid prayers at Lakemba Mosque on Friday morning

@sydney_ev @Kleva_Clogs @GoodAtBingo It’s not being a shill. During planting and harvest machines run around the clock, look at the power requirements for large seeders and headers. Quick refuel then run for 12-14 hours. Large farms can have 4-8 headers running along side tractors with chaser bins.
