Martin McGuinness, a "dedicated Republican activist" (aka a senior IRA terrorist), was responsible for numerous civilian deaths which he acknowledged as "errors". During his time as a prominent IRA leader in Derry, he was quoted as saying "we have always given ample warning" and that civilians who were injured were “hurt through their own fault” for “being too nosey.”
